You never know what an WarZone on orange is going to go for. The price seems to be all over the place but slowly and steadily rising over the years. You can be pretty sure that this will go for well over what a 2nd press on black would go for. Even though they were both pressed and the same time in the same amounts of 500 each. People see that color and they cant think straight I guess. It does look dope though. Interested to see what this copy from gushingaorta will end up at.

Revelation Records Final Presses
Another final press. Looks like people are really starting to unload these things. This Judge final press comes from krewjones. I definitely remember that name, can’t recall who it is, but I definitely recall seeing it around. I think it’s Scott, but I can’t recall. Check the other auctions. It’s amusing. Revelation Records dropped these in 2001. Kids went nuts. The seller is right when he claims these are more rare than the green versions. The final press for this LP is limited to 333. The green is limited to 712. But here’s the thing. One record released in 1989, the other released in 2001. It happens.
Black on Color
a couple of slabs of Black Flag color ending soon for those of you who want to complete that BF color collection. A brave task! From googyhills
Stick Together – Back To Back Records
NO MORE GAMES!
Yesterday, a Disengage EP sold on ebay for $1.29. Was it because the seller had zero feedback or because people have terrible taste in music? Disengage is one of those bands that EVERY KID should be loving right now. #serioustalk. Disengage is killing it. And then there is this Stick Together EP from jstarnold. Almost less than a day to go, and it has no bids. It’s even on color vinyl, folks. This is another band’s music that kids should be punching each other to get their hands on. And don’t tell me every fan got theirs in pre-order. I don’t believe that. Back To Back Records doesn’t press up a ton of EPs (300 on orange) so I know someone out there still wants this. This appears to be your chance to get it cheap. Get on it. And then head over to the B2B store to grab it on black.
Rev Collection – Bold
I remember being stoked finding this at Trash. Finding stuff at record shops is a way better feeling that getting a package in the mail. Hi Malcolm
Bloodlust Revenge
Fun fact: I skipped my high school prom in order to see One King Down. Yeap, bad ass style. The gig was good, and I probably had more fun than I would have at a prom. I pretty much hate “dancing,” and I’m not particularly fond of watching people dance. Not my thing. I even get a little antsy when some push pit teen gets in the mix at the local hardcore gig. At least look at what the other kids are doing before you become joe cool and push pit your way to local middle school stardom. Oooofff, hate that. Always brings me down. Kids these days … right? EVR 31. Crazy. Snag this one from 801williamm it doesn’t pop up often, and is probably the best release from this band. Much better than when Rob started singing for fortydaysrain: the beginning of the end.
Is it a bird? Is it a Plane? No It’s …
SUPERMAN!!! And for some reason, xundergroundx seems to gloss right over that. What you are looking at is the Together Comp on Revelation Records. This one is the first press on orange vinyl. And interestingly enough, the seller confuses it for the more rare yellow vinyl. It’s funny because this is a common confusion. Not sure how. The colors are definitely distinct and different …
Now, think 1987. Rev is trading all sorts of gems for 12″ GI Joe figures… Superman and Batman are cool… Limited shit is also cool. What better way to get good trades then to stamp a few dust sleeves and send them out the door? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a superman stamp, actually. This could be my first. I’ve seen the batman stamp on the Can’t Close My Eyes ep and the Together Comp, but never the superman stamp. This is a rare item, and somehow, the mention of it is casually thrown in. Like it was nothing. Amazing …
Talk Is Cheap. Your moshing.
Rev Collection – YOT trifecta of crap
Im sure that unionpride69 was stoked when these record were released. We all were!! So much hype surrounding these releases. Our favorite YOT records being re-released on our favorite classic HC label, what could go wrong?!?
Shitty new cover art [x]
Shitty new mixes [x]
Bumming you out [x]
But like the HC rejects we all are, we all ordered these when they came out and even though we hated them, we all got even bummed out when we found out there were 2 colors of WNITA to search after. Now a days I think most of us wised up and you can probably scoop these all up for cheap.
The Difference Between
Back To School Jam II
Wow. So friggin good.
October 10 1998 @Greek American Club Boston Mass: BTSJ II: Death Threat, Reach The Sky, Floorpunch, In My Eyes, and Hatebreed
I have a ton of good memories from this show, but I’ll just share the most relevant at this point.
In My Eyes played. And they played The Difference Between from start to finish. It wasn’t until 3-4 songs in that I realized what they were doing. Such a good set list!
Funny note: Pete wore longsleeves throughout the set despite it being soul sucking hot in the venue. He told the crowd he had just gotten two full sleeves the day before and didn’t want to mess them up. For some reason, I believed him. It wasn’t until the next gig where he was wearing short sleeves that I realized the prank. Whoooofffff
I didn’t pick this album up when they were selling the colored vinyl. I slept. Years later, I wound up buying the red and yellow vinyl off of Alpino. I probably spent too much on them, but at the time, I was pretty psyched to be getting the vinyl from a guy who maintained the Rev discography list.
untriedanduntested has a ton of gems up now. The descriptions say he is unloading EVERYTHING so go get those good! Continue reading
Stay Gold
Stay Gold was a smooth hardcore band from Northwest US, mostly Seattle. They began when hardcore was in a full revival swing, 98 or 99. These were the years of Floorpunch, Reach The Sky, In My Eyes, Kid Dynamite, Saves The Day … Hardcore was back and was really taking names.
They released a few albums on smaller labels (like Aram’s Anchor Records, pre React Records!). And ended up signing to Indecision Records to sell a few EPs and LPs. They did some big tours, but at least on the east coast, they never got the fanfare they deserved. Oh sure, the Tanguays moshed like crazy bastards (or at least Kyle did), but for the most part, it felt like they slipped unnoticed through the east coast. I’m sure it was an all together different story in Seattle and Portland.
Also, lets not forget that one of the dudes in the band is named Eagle Barber. Great name. And a pretty chill dude too. He hooked me up with a big box of tees a while back for a VERY reasonable price. Big fan.
First up, their first release on Anchor Records. Later Anchor Records would release EPs from What Feeds The Fire and almost Verse. Then Aram got super busy touring the world 600 times over with Champion and had to put record labels on the back burner for a bit. But this Stay Gold EP is a fave. This is the regular release.
This is the same EP but with the limited edition record release cover. Limited to 75. Aram is obviously good with packaging, always has been. This one comes with an acetate sleeve AND a vellum sleeve. Clear vinyl too!
Up next is the Caught Up In The Moment EP from Indecision Records. This one dropped in 2001 and was really when Stay Gold seemed to shine. This was the record that kids really wanted. Sadly, most of those kids wanted the record in 2006, instead of when it originally dropped in 2001. Like Van Gogh, they seemed to have got more popular post break up.
If you never got down with Stay Gold, I suggest picking these up. They are worth the listen. Continue reading
LESC
I first started collecting Rev vinyl in the late 90s. I know, I know, late bloomer.
For years, I avoided vinyl. Then I got into LPs, then I got into EPs. It became serious.
And of course, my vinyl of choice was anything Revelation Records. I started with one or two here or there. A GB ep on yellow, a COS EP on green. The real Rev intro collector items.
But I knew my collection was getting serious when I came across a WarZone Lower East Side Crew on Orange vinyl. It was a pretty big day in my life, I’m not going to lie.
And over the years, I’ve sold off a lot of my collection. But the WarZone on orange vinyl is still one I keep to this day. Great EP. AndI have all the same inserts as this guy. Not bad.
Raybeez RIP.
A Couple of BIN$$$$$$
I stumbled across these EPs last night.
And I was astounded at how awesome they are, and the great condition that they appear to be in.
Then I nearly keeled over when I saw the Buy It Now prices.
1. Together Comp EP on Orange vinyl with the Batman Stamp. Holy shit, that’s cool. Everyone has drooled over the Rev List before. I know I have. I’m sure I’m not the only one. This particular record is one of 400 AND one of “a number of the orange vinyl copies.” Not very specific. Could be 4, could be 14, could be 140. I’m guessing closer to 14 than 140, of course.
But WOW at the $1k Buy It Now price. Seems a little steep to me.
2. Antidote – Thou Shalt Not Kill EP. Fuck, this is a GREAT one. Think of all the bands that have used this EP as their blueprint. A quintessential piece of NYHC. But for $1k? Yikes. “Too rich for my blood.”
Mindset
I’m a big fan of React Records. Aram is a great dude, and he’s pulled together some awesome bands for his label.
He also pulls together some excellent packages for his releases. Always that personal touch.
Mindset is one of those bands on React Records. Mindset is also awesome. The music is fucking excellent. There is no doubt about that. They’re holding down that Central US Straight Edge scene. Much like The First Step, they have it on lock.
Go ahead and grab this ep set, and you’ll be one step closer to having a collection like Jay Jacoby. This lot comes with everything Aram would have sent you had pre-ordered like you know you should have.
Don’t forget, The React Records showcase is one week from today in Berkley, Cali. If anyone wants to fly me out for the gig, I’ll gift them some sweet slabs of wax. Get at me, folks.
I want a Creamsicle
A few weeks ago, someone petitioned for an embargo on New Found Glory records. I signed that petition. They never said anything about Coheed and Cambria records. I honestly don’t know anything about this record, BUT, I did find the more common colors of this vinyl selling for $160 – $220. WTF? Do people like this band that much? I just didn’t know.
I do like one thing about this band. A few yeas back, when they really broke, my friend Nick was their tour agent. He got to ride that success wave, and I’m psyched for him. For that, here’s Coheed and Cambria.
Buy this album, help out another one of my friends.
I’m (still) vegan. I can’t recall having a creamsicle in about a jillion years. Anyone know any good vegan creamsicles?
Verse Build “Schizo” Press
This one is just plain weird.
It’s the vinyl for Build, but the sleeve for From Anger And Rage.
Apparently they had leftovers of each, mushed em together, and hand numbered them. This auction doesn’t show the loose labels, but I hope they are also included.
Limited to 41. Seems cool.
