OUTBURST+KRAKDOWN+IN YOUR FACE+YUPPICIDE 7″ LOT

Seller baosgarden has got an interesting lot up for grabs. The way the picture is laid it out looks like one of those  four 7″ on one 12″ EP.

This 7″ lot includes:
OUTBURST – MILES TO GO (Black vinyl pressing on Blackout)
IN YOUR FACE – …THE GRUB 7″ (Black vinyl on Common Cause)
KRAKDOWN – S/T (Black vinyl on Common Cause)
YUPPICIDE – S/T (Black vinyl on Evacuate Records)
If this doesn’t hop up too much it most likely will be worth picking up all 4 of these for the auction price. This past weekend I went to Armageddon Records in Boston and my friend scooped an In Your Face just hanging up in the store for very cheap.  We later learned that a CT head dropped off a ton of shirts and records to the shop a little while ago. Wish I could have been there to scoop all the goodies that the CT head dropped off.

On Thin Ice … With Opening Bids

Not really sure where garygggg came up with these opening bids (“but he’s offering FREE shipping!!”). They sort of blow my mind. Can any of you explain them?

A Day Of Noize Starts With Some Demo Noize.

Seller gernblandsten is always there with the old NY/NJ goodies when we want to expand the boundaries of our Noize, and on this day, he and the member of OxBlood and Fit of Anger whose collection he is selling have made it possible for there to be no actual vinyl posted on Vinyl Noize (tho someone will probably slip something in). For starters, we have the first of two rounds of Demo Noize… some VERY awesome stuff here, including arguably the best demo ever.

Stock Collection – Late 80s NYHC

Here you go. In one simple BIN, you can corner the market on your NYHC stock collection. Seriously. Great deal. Krakdown, Supertouch, Madball EP, Outburst, Absolution and the Uppercut LP. These are classic NYHC items. Some would call them second tier, but they’d be high. Madball recharged NYHC after the youth crew bands moved on (Shelter …). And On Thin Ice? You’re moshing. Hit that BIN, it’s worth every penny. nygore has your back.

Demo Noize.

Huge ton of demos up today from gernblandsten, and as always it’s a ton of good stuff. But I think we’re showing you the best of it right here…

Can we just take a moment and gape in awe at that one before we move on?

Nah, that’s not enough.

Alright, moving on.

TJRB!

Yup. Awesomeness, as always.

Some more of Porter’s auctions, as sold by xbestoneyetx to finish up my sleepy, rainy gray Friday…

No bids on the Outburst on blue yet? Strange.

Stock Collection – Outburst 7″

Im gonna say that the old xMulletx board is responsible for making this record collectable. Always a favorite among certain HC circles but it really wasnt until people started talking it up on the mullet that it suddenly became everyones favorite record and the prices reflected that. Its so funny what a few message board threads can do.
Either way it should be part of your stock collection now that you can find it pretty easily in repress format. Not everything in your record collection has to be the most limited rare original versions. You get respect from having a new version(unless its that new Negative Approach 7″ reissue, you can have that but please burn the cover, that thing sucks).
If you wanna drop some dough though here is an original copy of Miles to Go on blue wax. I forget the exact numbers but red is more rare than blue or black. Check out statement-of-pride‘s auctions for a shit ton of cool shit that I will probably post up anyways

Krakdown and Outburst.

A couuple of my favorite NYHC 7 inches courtesy of bright_sea. It’s actually almost funny how hyped one band became for a time, while the other has stayed almost completely below the radar… I think you can figure out for yourself which is which.

What’s with that bum pic? There could be a secret giant coffee stain on the cover for all we know. Not that I’m saying there is, but come on. I’m not saying you need a masters eye for composition, but at least get the full cover in the frame.

Outburst “Miles To Go”.

I’m going to state something, and you can agree or disagree at your leisure but it’s definitely true. Seller popculturizm would not be getting a $12.59 starting bid on an Outburst “Miles To Go” 7″ if it hadn’t been for the Mullet Board. In fact, they wouldn’t even dream of asking for that as a starting price if Standhard and the FP dudes hadn’t started talking about how great this record is back in the bygone days of 2001.

Don’t get me wrong, Thin Ice? When Things Go Wrong? I’m absolutely moshing. It just cracks me up that something that used to be a 99 cent bin staple can now go up at $10+ and get bid on immediately.

Not the movie that Karen O. did the soundtrack for…

But the record that introduced me to The Hardway.

For many in my age bracket, where the wild things are resonates as the childhood book of choice.

For many 10 year olds and clever 20-somethings, it’s a kisch movie that is easy to name check as the best of last year (sorry, I wanted it to be great. It was fine, good even, but not great.)

FOR ME, this comp will forever be the only where the wild things are in my life. And while I bet some decent sleuthing will uncover an original copy for less than the $14.99 buy it now, the picture disc with full sleeve isn’t too bad if you’re going to go the reissue route.

OutBurst – miles to go

There was a time, around the height of the mullet board when this record was the hottest of the hot. Prices were crazy and then people seems to have forgotten about it. This recoord rules on any color.
From the seller “I have met many kids that, even in the download age, haven’t dug into this band. I feel like that Indian crying over the landfill when I hear that.”
I couldnt agree more! There are also kids now a days that do not like or are not into Minor Threat and you wonder why HC mostly sucks in recent times.

1000 on black

NYHC – Where the Wild Things Are comp

There was a time before ebay and the internets when this record was kinda rare. Its such a crucial comp that is often overshadowed by the Rev ‘way it is comp’. What about opening a comp with “the hardway”?? What a brilliant move on blackouts part! Love the cover image. I also have this as a poster and it hung up in my room throughout college. I believe I got the poster at pheonix records in waterbury,CT. My friend and I had to convince the owner to go through giant unorganized pile of posters in the corner as long as we promised to put everything back. We came away with a couple of those, a combat core poster, YOT WNITA poster, and a couple others. We went through every single poster in there!
coincidentally this is my favorite color wax of this comp. I just think it suits it well. Anyone know the pressing info on this comp?!
