For my first ever post on VNZ I posted this Drift Again 7″. It’s a great record that I like a lot. I don’t really have anything new to say about it, but here handsomephantom has the white vinyl copy I haven’t seen before. Cool times.

Lots And Lots!
Seller herheartofau just upped a bunch of record lots this morning, and there’s some cool stuff. I think the Revelation Records lot is the one most of you would be interested in to start…
…closely followed by the Outspoken lot.
There are also some good West Coast oriented lots up, featuring the likes of XChorusX, Carry Nation, Amenity, and Forced Down…
…and there are a couple other lots up as well that you can check out by looking through the seller’s other auctions. Be sure to check out the sick One Life Crew poster!
Comps and split lots from the 90s
You gotta put these records in lots, cause let’s be honest, you ain’t gonna buy em on their own (trust me, I got boxes of records like that that didn’t get a single bid at 99¢.) Sure, there’s bands here you’ve probably never heard of (Eternal, Deckard, Tuscadero?) but also some 90′s classics like, Frail, Undertow, Chokehold, Mouthpiece, Snapcase and Outspoken (and a CTHC comp thrown in there too) It looks like 801williamm only has a little bit of time left on these, so swoop and scoop.
Wishing for a Cold Season on a hot summer day…
Hey, since this is my first contribution to Vinyl Noize, lemme say what’s up to all the other bloggers (Hey Murphy!), and readers. I’m gonna dive right into it though, and talk about this Drift Again – Cold Season 7″ fiere is selling. Drift Again was band from the early 90′s (this 7″ came out in 1991), and featured Mike and Dennis from Outspoken, as well as Randy from Pushed Aside/Against The Wall (Jaybil hopefully have checked them by now). Sound-wise they were a complete departure from all of these bands though, mid-paced, maybe even a little “emo”, but still pretty heavy, with a later-era Turning Point vibe throughout. I really like this EP it’s a shame they did not release a couple more records. (They also have a track on the Words To Live By 7″ comp and a 2 song demo). With postage-paid, this BIN might be worth it to have this in your hands in a few days.
If you dig this style check out Set Adrift (yeap) from the Ukraine.

More Pink Vinyl!
I wonder if in_vinyl_we_trust is a Vinyl Noize reader because I was able to pick up a copy of this Outspoken 7″ because I saw it posted up here!
This is a limited repress by New Age Records of the Outspoken Survival 7″ from earlier this year. It was pressed on bubblegum (pink) vinyl and oddly was limited to 77 copies. Pretty rare and could be a nice score for one of you guys!
Making Up For Lost Time I.
I’ve had a busy week so far; I finally found what I felt was a good enough deal on an HDTV to finally make the upgrade from the giant big screen dinosaur I’ve been using the last 3 years (that I found in the trash room in my building, I’m all class), and doing that led to a full blown reorganization of my apartment in order to set it up in the most advantageous position. This place actually still hasn’t recovered, but unholybloodlust has a lot of records up that I want to share. This first batch all end this afternoon. Unfortunately I don’t have the time to write a little blurb on all of them, but my girlfriend is going to smite me with great vengeance and furious anger if the microwave lives on the couch another day…
That last ones for BMurphy, I know he loves him some Into Another. Heh.
Another Archive Opened – New Age Records
Yesterday we saw the Trustkill archives open up. Today, courtesy of richardbladeyourself, we see the New Age Records open up. I won’t comment on who I think this dude is, but I’m sure you all have your guesses.
Couple of bangers up today. First up are two recent test presses for the 2010 re-releases of the Strife EP and the Outspoken LP. Both were remastered so both go new test presses. I miss the yellow Erika test press labels …
How about this one? A Mouthpiece What Was Said LP test pressing? If our friend Martin didn’t have one of these already, you can be sure we would not have posted it. Check that link, lots of good stories with many more to come.
Redemption 87. Spaulding is moshing.
Go check out richardbladeyourself’s other auctions for more gems, lots more test presses. Intense.
SURVIVAL!
Seller unholybloodlust has up a great and interesting EP from Outspoken. This is the Survival EP put out by New Age Records. Back in the day, it never came on color vinyl (same can be said for the LP. It also only came on black vinyl). A few weeks back, New Age repressed both on color vinyl. But back in the day, it only came on black vinyl. I’m sure this was a let down to the vinyl fiends. You know we love a great limited edition record, right?
So New Age dropped this record. Limited cover, limited EP label, numbered out of 50, the works. Thing is, it probably wasn’t limited to 50. We know this because EACH ep is numbered #1. Every EP I’ve seen (and apparently the seller too) is numbered #1. So that’s New Age pranking the vinyl fiends. Good gag. Has anyone seen one that is NOT numbered #1? Or have more info? I’d like to know more of the back story on this one, really.
A Light In The Dark
Call me crazy, but I love this album. I picked it up in the mid 90s, after Outspoken had broken up, and before I started attending “real” hardcore shows (I’m sorry, but I have hard time justifying Tree and Sam Black Church as hardcore). I found my copy used at Bull Moose in Brunswick. I had never heard the band, didn’t know anything about them. All I knew is that they were released on New Age Records. At the time, that was all the convincing I need (pre-Internet, wikipedia, myspace music, … all that jazz. I supposed I could have ventured onto alt.music.hardcore for some insight though). I was hooked. I immediately got a Strife vibe but with more politics involved. I could hang with that. And unlike most of the records from that era, this one still stands up, I can still play this and enjoy the hell out of it. As far as I know, this NEVER came on color vinyl. Someone back me up.
Peep robojamesdean’s other auctions for a few more records.

Outspoken! Is Beauty A Crime? Eff no. But not buying these EPs should be a crime.
Some Girls. Nuff Said.
Some of the best music to roll out of Texas. Seriously, quit sleeping.
You’d be smart to check out ALL of Gooch’s auctions, actually. You know they’ve come from a good home. Continue reading
