PAGANS – Street Where Nobody Lives 7″

While everyone else goes gaga for NYC and LA, I’m saying Cleveland has one of the best early American punk repertoires going. Here’s my favorite record of the bunch—the second Pagans single. While not as inept as their injuriously rare* debut Six and Change, this 7″ and the two that followed are great raw, trashy punk that only a bunch of landlocked cretins could have made. Do yourself a favor and pick up the Shit Street collection LP on Crypt, or just buy this record.

Side note: a friend of mine claims to actually live on the actual “street where nobody lives,” somewhere in the Cleveland ‘burbs. Perplexing, to say the least.
