Iron Age for (rejected) test press Tuesday

Not only is this Iron Age test press a reject, there’s also 200 of them. So many rejects, at least they aren’t lonely. From the Painkiller site:

Approx. 200 black vinyl
Two batches of about 100 each were made, all copies have a loud pop about 10 seconds into side A. Transparent overlay sleeve.

Doesn’t appear to be the overlay sleeve here, but still aside from the approved test press, this is the rarest version of the record. Check out all the goodies that endofanear has for sale now. Some good stuff there!

Vaccine XXX

Some newer grip-n-flip type stuff up this week from god_among_men_77, including a complete “rares” collection of western Mass’ Vaccine.

If you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard these guys yet, imagine the sentiments of the first SSD lp mixed with the sound and intensity of the Crossed Out 7″ and you’re off to a decent start. Here you get: demo 7″ on clear ltd/100, Human Hatred 7″ on red ltd/200 and the recent Crimes In Blood 5″ on gray ltd/200. XXX

INMATES – A-holes Unanimous LP

More from mnl_studios… he ain’t just sellin NYHC.

OK, I gotta admit I’m partial to this LP because I put it out. My friend Mike originally released it around 2002, but he only did 300 so a few years later we (Painkiller) took his stampers and did another 900 LP, with 600 black and 300 pink marble.

This LP is a total scorcher, with 18 tracks of early-US-meets-UK82-hardcore bliss. And for all you Norman Coremans out there, you get 3/5 of the For Those Who Fear Tomorrow era Integrity lineup, and a member of Meanstreak (!). I played a show with them once at a bowling alley in the Clevo burbs, and pretty much anything that wasn’t bolted down was flying during their set — bowling balls, paint, garbage barrels, broomsticks — you name it.

I saw these guys play a couple of weekends ago in NYC, their 3rd and 2nd to last shows ever, and they f’n killed it both times. Coincidentally their last show ever is tonight in New Orleans, kind of a weird place to send it off but whatever!

B.I.N. – Glacial Reign

I won’t say too much about this record other than…

1. Whenever a punk or hardcore band (in this case, Mind Eraser) release more than 2 great full lengths, that should be noted.

2. The record looks perfect. The cover has the elements of that classic punk aesthetic (nods to rudimentary peni art) while maintaining a freshness to it. If you’ve never really looked at this record, please do. The people who put it together on a design level always crank out some of my favorite stuff, so when you throw in a banging original illustration on the cover… no complaints.

3. Though this is a repress on Clear Vinyl, feel like you are getting a steal because I could easily see this record being resold in a year for double that, easy.

In all seriousness, this can also still be picked up over at the PAINKILLER webstore, but I have a feeling there aren’t that many left. A band who has yet to put out a bad record, and this may be their best. Check out some of the other auctions from PKR and save on shipping. Still on top.

A-TEAM – Clusterf#ck tour 7″

The first (and some say best) release on my stupid record label, presented here with alternate “Harshing Mellows Across America” tour sleeve and extra test press sleeve. I really wish he put the front cover of the record in the picture, so everyone could see Jon Clark passed out drunk in a puddle of his own technicolor yawn.

Items of note:
• Tour sleeve design by Dick Ded, aka Good Old Rich Perusi
• Smut Peddlers lyrics written on dust sleeve (shout out to Stab & Kill Recs)
• Moishe stamp peeking out from inside the sleeve (the offer still stands—send Painkiller cool stamps and we’ll send you free records)
• “You’ve Been Clowned” stamp that we used to stamp on black vinyl records and send to people we didn’t like in lieu of colored vinyl
• Original “heroin needle” PKR logo on labels, never to be used again per orders of AJ Maguire
• Secondary “Together comp stars” logo on sleeve, retired after release #3
• The sloppiest fun bags this side of California
