Right around the same time that I first got to have a TV with cable in my bedroom Nickelodeon had launched their night time TV programing ‘Nick At Nite’. I used to love watching all the old shows, but my two favorites were Dragnet & The Patty Duke Show.

I loved Dragnet because my dad was a big fan and I think I wanted to like it because he did. We both agree that the later episodes in color with Harry Morgan (Colonel Potter from Mash) as Joe Fridays partner Bill are better than the earlier black & white one, but they are all great.

I’m pretty sure that I liked The Patty Duke Show just because I thought that Patty Duke was hot! She was one of my early crushes… to bad she was already in her 40′s when I first started watching her on TV in her teens! It doesnt really matter because I still have a crush on her. She get bonus points for being married to John Astin (Gomez Addams) for 13 yers. Whenever I find Patty Duke records in dollar bins I always scoop them up, but now that I’m reminded of it I should try and get the old shows on DVD too.

the_e-mart_store has Patties first single, originally released on 1965, in a picture sleeve with a pretty cute pic of her on it for cheap money.
