Here is a cool record that you will probably be able to get at a decent price. Iron Maiden did a lot of picture discs, so this probably isn’t that rare of a record, but the artwork of Eddie is legendary, so for a few bucks you can add this one to your collection via this cultzero auction.

Skank it the fuck up
punk226 has something you don’t see everyday. This is a double record auction including both a picture disc LP, and a split colored vinyl 10″. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones may have long since faded away (although they recently put out another new record), there are probably many guys out there in their 30s or 40s that remember some sick shows. My first show ever was a Bosstones show at Toad’s Place in New Haven. The opening bands were Blind Justice and Black Train Jack. Sick pit that night.
Sometimes Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction
I usually say I hate gimmick and novelty records, and that is true, but what might not be obvious is why I hate them. I don’t hate them in theory, but because I think the idea behind novelty records is that they are supposed to be fun and cool, and most of them fail in this terribly. This one is one of the rare ones that succeeds in my eyes. Look at this thing! It’s freaking cool and it’s a 10″ too! I’ve never seen this thing before. Apparently it’s limited and numbered, when did this come out? “Stranger Than Fiction” is a great album, possibly the first punk I’ve ever heard. Check it out from ablackenedsoul. It’s got 12 hrs and outs only at $2!
You got that Sheer Terror money!?
I guess that hard times have fallen on xsheerxterrorx because he is selling his Sheer Terror records! That would be like if my eBay user name was ‘Stupid obsessive Slapshot nerd’ and I started selling off my collection of junk!
Not sure if anyones going to the show on Sunday, but Sheer Terror is playing a semi-surprise show at the Bowery Electric in NYC. Its like a mini record release show for the Spit 7″ that came out this week. There are NO advance tickets being sold and the place only holds 200 people so get there EARLY if you plan to go, the show starts at 3:00pm. There is also supposed to be a special record release sleeve of the 7″ limtited to only 40 copies so get to the merch table quick and get me one cause I cant make it to the show. Oh yeah Supertouch & Suburban Scum are playing too.
Anyway… now go bid on these records…
Asshole & Proud 7″ signed by the Rev #273 out of ???

Asshole & Proud picture 7″ # 200 out of 333

Anth-Wax.
The other day over on TTD, we showed you a toy from the 1980s that helmut122 was passing off as Anthrax merch. Technically, it was no such thing; the toy was where Anthrax got the NOT Man from. But these Anthrax records that he’s selling? They’re legit.
California Takeover!
When this record dropped, I remember thinking it was the most novel thing ever. Imagine being able to hear all your favorite bands live whenever you want (hey, I was 17. Strife, Earth Crisis and Snapcase were hot then, especially in Maine). It seemed so wild and out there. Looking back, not sure it stands the test of time. Strife live. Great. Strife live on record. Dunno. What do you think? For $4, might not be too bad to grab this one from vengovaquero.
WOLFSBLOOD!
Mike from Inhuman is selling off a few more records including this cool Misfits ‘Legacy of Brutality’ picture disc.
I’m a big fan of the Elvis style Danzig skeleton artwork on the back. I’ve always liked this design. I know that a lot of people probably have it so its not that special, but on the last few trips I made with Slapshot, Annett, the girl who did merch had a really nice tattoo of this and it was big!
His description says it was released on Fiend Club Brazil Records which means it might be a bootleg, but it looks cool and its got some good songs on it so jump on it cause it ends very soon!
Jersey Pride
I’m a big fan of ‘Record Store Day’ and I’m quite the sucker for a ‘limited edition’ of any kind, but even more so when it comes to records! Last year on RSD I went to 4 different stores and had my girlfriend go to one store for me so I could get all the records I convinced myself I needed. Well in my haze of record buying I ended up with a copy of this same Bouncing Souls picture disc 7″ that jwilson19 is selling.
I think I saw that it was hand numbered and limited to 500 and figured ‘I need to buy that’. Well, many months later I have never listened to it and the only reason I posted this one is because I’m hoping it sells and then maybe I’ll sell mine!
SLAP-LOT
Yeah yeah yeah… Josh likes Slapshot, I’m sure you get it allready! I’m posting this lot of 3 LPs from forceofchange714 mainly because it has the picture disc version of the Greatest Hits LP which isnt super easy to find in it. I think it was limited to only 500 and was sold by a Euro label so they dont pop up that often in the US.
The other reason I wanted to post it was to include a flyer for the show Slapshot anounced last week. Slapshot will be returning to Providence on April 2nd, 2011! I will probably be doing merch so if you’re a Vinyl Noize reader come by and pick up a shirt and when you decide to sell it maybe it will get posted on Tee Till Death!
Good Friendly Violent Fun!
Now I can admit that toxiktad may not be selling the best record that Exodus ever put out, but having grown up a metalhead and being exposed to hardcore & punk through metal, I have a soft spot for ‘The Toxic Waltz’. I remember in 10th grade when we had to vote on a theme for the ‘prom dance’ a bunch of my friends all voted for ‘The Toxic Watlz’ which no surprisingly did not win.
The song is cheesy, the lyrics are super cheesy, but I remember seeing the ‘pit’, the ‘moshing’ an the ‘stage dives’ in the video on Headbangers Ball and being in awe! Then when I finally saw Murphy’s Law I got to actually be part of it and the video didnt mean as much anymore. I do still go back to it once in awhile though just for the nostalgia factor.
I’m not sure how rare this picture disc is, but I have a copy of it that I might have to listen to this week and do a little bedroom moshing!
Initium…
I know that you’ve all seen a lot of Misfits & Samhain this week and I know I already posted my favorite Samhain LP (November-Coming-Fire) and the Samhain box set, but I still wanted to represent my favorite Samhain cover art, Initium.
I’m 99% sure that this Initium picture disc exc_rec’s has is a bootleg. It doesnt list any label, the colors are kind of weird on it, its from Germany and he says its a ‘numbered copy’. He also has some other records for sale that I’m pretty sure are boots, the thing I found odd was I couldnt even find this picture disc on the Misfits Central discography.
So either way, here is a picture disc version of my favorite Samhain LP cover. If you dont want it, you can buy it and send it to me!

set the way back machine for 1977!
Late, great 1977… when picture discs and 8 track tapes were king! Ok…. maybe not really, but Star Wars was king thats for damn sure! xqwizet wants to help you relive the Star Wars hype with this picture disc & 8 track combo deal. Both items feature ‘the story of Star Wars’ so I assume they are some sort of abridged audio only version of the movie, but I’m not sure.
I heard on the radio the other day that they are re-releasing (again) the Star Wars movies this time done in 3D starting with The Phantom Menace next in 2012. Then they will do one every 2 years until all 6 are done. Unfortunantly that means we have to wait until 2018 to see A New Hope.
Templars OI! Clockwork Orange OI! OI!
Ok… Honestly I dont know anything about this band, but I know that Paul Bearer is excited that they are playing the Sheer Terror ‘Home Coming Dance’ Sunday November 28 at Webster Hall. Based on that I decided I was going to check them out and one of the first things I saw was this picture disc ryanb714 has for sale with some cool Clockwork Orange inspired cartoon art. If Paulie likes it and it looks like that, then its probably good!
Beavis & Butthead \m/
I loved this show when it was on and loved this movie when it came out. I watched the movie on TV a few weeks ago and it held up, my favorite part is when they’re tripping on mushrooms in the segment that Rob Zombie annimated! I wish that they would be able to release the show on DVD including all the segments of them watching videos. That was the best part and they cut it all out! Bastards!!
