Easily one of my top ten records of all time. Not on your top ten list? That’s okay, I have better taste in music that you do. Green-friend is selling a real treasure. Original pressing on Plan 9 and VG+/EX- condition. Nothing wrong with this auction at all. It’s the weekend, treat yourself.

I missed the boat on Halloween Danzig posts
so this is getting a late start. It seems like yesterday that orange copies of NCF would struggle to hit $150. This one is at $300 with 8 days left and the reserve isnt met. Its true it doesnt turn up much but with all the Danzig hate going on right now you would think it wouldnt go too high.
Like most people selling colored Misfits/Samhain vinyl these days, andrew.flyguy goes out of his way to point out the vinyl has a swirl or flake in it of another color, thinking it makes it more valuable. Sadly that tactic works on the average idiot collecting Danzig related records.
We got some Attitude.. but no insert
Im a little surprised at how cheap this is with less than 24 hours left to go. Not so long ago this was a $800-$1000 record, especially one in this condition. Surely the missing insert cant be worth more than the vinyl and cover? Ironically being sold by plan9music, which is the record store not the label. As far aesthetics goes the 1st pressing of Bullet is one of my favorites of all time so insert or not I am going to have my eye on this.
Misfits Earth AD on clear
This is one of those records most people probably aren’t going to go after. Its never going to be cheap and you’re never getting a good deal on it. If anything most people are going to think its worth MORE than it is just because it says Misfits on it. Its purple vinyl but its considered clear since its not as purple as the purple vinyl. And since this one isnt super clear its only worth about half as much.
pinball-amoeba has a few other Misfits rarities up as well. Including this Italian copy of Walk Among Us with the rarer “Slash” labels.
Unholy Passion BIN
Pretty decent priced BIN copy of the second Samhain 12″, courtesy of meanestmonkey. I always thought this band’s recordings kinda sucked (like they were trying too hard to get this “dark” sound and it never really came together), but the tunes are catchy so I can live with it. Cool boobs on the cover too :)
Who Killed Marilyn?
Currently noiserockfiend is selling only 2 records and they are both copys of Glenn Danzigs ‘Who Killed Marilyn?’ single.
Plan 9 Records released August 1981
First press was 5000 black vinyl copies
About 10 copies have Marilyns hair colored yellow on the front cover, and less than 5 have blue eyes shadow on Marilyns picture on the labels. Unfortunantly this is just a run of the mill black vinyl first press copy.
Plan 9 Records released August 1983
Second press was 25 black and purple swirled vinyl copies and 500 purple copies.
Glenn colored purple eye shadow on ONE swirled copy and gave it to Tesco Vee.
“Beware Bollards”
Another high-end record from paulsux. Coming Straight out of New Jersey…. MISFITS… BEWARE!
There have been a lot of bootlegs of this 12″ but this one appears to be a legit copy. Beware was originally suposed to be released to promote a 1979 UK tour, but the sleeve was not finished by the time the Misfits got there. Glenn actually came up with the title after seeing a sign that said “Beware Bollards” during the tour. The record was finally released in January of 1980 by Plan 9, Armageddon/Spartan, Cherry Red Records. The one time pressing has been rumored to be as high as 15,000 but its believe that its much closer to only 1500 copies.
‘Cough/Cool’ kind of sucks, but ‘She’ is awesome!
you guys know what this is…. I can’t afford it, but maybe you can. I wish I had some OG Mifits vinyl, but I don’t. Maybe some day… but I doubt it.
A: Cough/Cool
B: She
Format: 7″ Single.
Pressing: Blank Records: Blank 101 (August 1977)
500 copies.
Session: [06//1977 Rainbow Studio]
Notes: Front cover photo features Manny, Glenn, and Jerry from left to right. “Thanks to Marilyn Clark & Monty” refers to “The Misfits” movie stars: Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, and Montgomery Clift. On the back of the single, Glenn incorrectly spelled Jerry Only’s real last name as Caifa instead of Caiafa. After this single, Jerry began using his stage name. The sleeve itself is a thin paper glued sleeve and the record has a large center hole. 200 copies of a later, thin vinyl bootleg, almost identical to the first, were distributed in the early 1980s.
Victims – Annette 7″ – Plan 9
The seller (The Taang! Records Store) has given basicly no information about this record at all yet wants someone to pay $1000 for it. The seller also says that the last one on eBay sold for $800 but there is on on Popsike from July 2009 that sold for only $338.
Heres what I know/found at Misfits Central…. Victims are the only band besides The Misfits, Samhain & Glen Danzig solo to apear on Plan 9 records.
This record came in either a more common black & white sleeve or a rarer red & white sleeve, but I dont know which one this copy is.
Plan 9 pressed 1000 copies of this 4 song 7″ in 1978.
PL1005
A: Annette & I Want Head
B: Behind The Times & Nervous
band bio from Misfits Central:
This New York band (not to be confused with the similarly named bands from Chicago, Texas, and Australia) released a 1977 single called We Got The Music on BRG before putting out one single on Plan 9 Records. They later released another single on BRG called Real Wild Child and eventually recorded two albums. Rick Riley played guitar for The Misfits for two shows after Franché Coma left the band. Riley and Steve Berman went on to join Aces And Eights with Mr. Jim of The Misfits. Before forming The Victims, Rick and Barry had auditioned for a band that Bobby Steele was putting together. The cover of their EP on Plan 9 Records was later used on a bootleg put out by Killed By Death Records.
SINCE THE SELLER POSTED NO PHOTOS, THIS PICTURE IS FROM AN OLDER CLOSED AUCTION

INITIUM!
a couple of cool variations of the Samhain Initium LP. I’ve always loved this album cover! The Endoint parody of it is great too! I’m surprised more bands havent done that. A Poison Idea version would have been great!
So first up is one of the Glen Danzig holy grails… the translucent pink Initium! Misfits Central says there was a 2nd press of 500 red vinyl copies which includes some dark pink variations. However there are about 10 true clear pink copies and this definiltly aprears to be one to me.
Next up is an even cooler record to me. The seller just says its a first press and briefly mentions the white swirls in it. Misfits Central says that its a 1st press and that there are only 15 copies of the black vinyl with white streaks! This one could possibly go cheaper than usual because of the poor auction title.
