Tags Matching: Promo LP

When I was in my early teens my mom used to take me to a small store in Milford, MA called “Wild Child”. They had a bunch of metal and hardcore tapes, CDs & records as well as shirts, stickers and other swag. It was one of the only places that had some really cool stuff and they also used to get bands to come in and do in-stores. One afternoon my mom and I drove up to meet Nuclear Assault! It was a bonus to have my mom cause that ment I could getting at least 2 things signed by the band. I think I ended up getting autographs on a ‘Game Over’ picture disc, a ‘Fight to be Free’ cassette & a Survive CD.

My mom is kinda loud and very social and I think the Nuclear Assault boys were kind of taken back by her. Danny Lilker said pretty much nothing and John Connoley didnt know what to say because my mom kept talking about how much she liked his hair. I’m sure I was really embarassed at the time, but at least I got to meet Nuclear Assault!

I think Survive is my favorite record of the NA catalog and this is an old promo copy. I’m not sure if it has the old gold promo stamping on it, but I know that 14 year old headbanger Josh would have loved this LP. I used to be a wicked sucker for promo LPs. They seemed like the forbidden fruit since they were stamped and it said “NOT FOR SALE” right on it! Hahaha….

hodadsmusicinternational has a bunch of other records for sale, but no other metal stuff. This Nuclear Assault record is very out of place in his other auctions!
