Ray And Porcell And Tre And BMurph

We told Aram to keep this one under his hat, but apparently he felt the need to air it out on ebay. That’s cool. I’m sure PLENTY of people will skip his auction and never catch the news. Either way, 2012 is going to be huge. Deathwish Inc is going to have their biggest year ever in 2012. Early fall. Just you wait … For more info, check out Aram’s auction.

Screaming for A purple

Gotta love the ebay name of saddestrobot. The names people come up with never fail to impress or surprise me. Also, this Uniform Choice LP he’s selling never fails to impress me. One of the nicest looking slabs of wax there is out there. Oh, and the songs aren’t half bad either! This one is sitting with a $99.99 opening bid that, so far, nobody has jumped on. It’ll usually go for double that so don’t be shy. Spend some of that hard earned (?) xmas money your parents gave you.

Also, everyone please note, this record is called ‘screaming for change’ and not ‘screaming for A change’. The number of times that people insert that extra ‘A’ drives me mad.

Its sometimes like it will never end…

It was recently announced that some dodgy record label is soon to be reissuing both the American Nightmare LPs. So now could be the right time to grab the originals before the reissues cause the prices to shoot through the roof. Or possibly drop through the floor. You can never predict which way it will go when the reissues hit the streets. in_vinyl_we_trust is giving you a chance to bag a purple vinyl copy of this album, which is one of the rarer colors this record came on.

Here’s a weird fact – I think I was the first person in the whole world to order this when it came out. I called up Equal Vision because I knew this was coming out, and the dude on the phone told me they weren’t taking any orders for another week. But somehow I managed to talk him into taking my order there and then. Dunno what I said exactly, but I managed to get in an order for three copies and I got sent one on red, one on purple, and one on pink. I was happy enough at the time, although the way the world was back then it didn’t feel like a major feat. But a couple of years later some dude I met was talking to me about this LP and telling me that apparently there was some kind of uproar when it came out in certain circles. Apparently loads of people who ordered it were not happy that they received the more common clear vinyl version, more so because it seemed that nobody got the funky candy colors. I never knew anything about this. Did it really happen, or was it just a total exaggeration? Anyone?

Instant Cast Iron Hike Discography.

It is a rare thing indeed to see either of the first two Cast Iron Hike ep’s on the ‘bay. Yet somehow, not only do we have both of them up right now, but we also have the Miltown split (home to CIH’s intense cover of GG Allin’s “Shoot Knife Strange Beat And Crucify”) and a purple vinyl copy of the Watch It Burn lp on Victory (ugh)… and even better, 3 out of 4 of these are low, low BIN’s! BOOM, instant discography of one of the great, under appreciated late 90s hardcore bands from MA.

The House That Glenn Built.

Sellers Ken and Jenn continue on their quest to finance their house hunting via the sale of their Misfits collection with three different Who Killed Marilyn e.p.’s. That’s right. THREE. Two of them being purple vinyl. Two different types of purple vinyl.

Definitely getting some eggs ready. Probably some toilet paper too.

Honest Sellers Rule!

At vinylnoize.com, we appreciate honest sellers like coldstares. This guy is selling one of my favorites: The Gorilla Biscuits Start Today LP on purple vinyl. He could have taken some trick shots to make it look as amazing as it is, but he did not. He comes straight out and tells you the flaws right away. And for that we are grateful. You know what you are getting into before you get too deep. Much like any girl that would go home with one of you guys. I’m sure she’d appreciate knowing your apartment is stuffed to the max with LPs, tshirts and more vinyl figures than your local KB Toys. And if she is good with that, you win. This seller is going that angle. So far, it’s working for him. Better to be honest than receive negative feedback and have to deal with returns. That’s what I say.

Grape Ape Would Have Loved GB.

How could a giant purple ape not love a band that put their lp on purple vinyl? You know he’d have wanted one of his very own. The last one we had up ended at a choice $238.50.

Seller anthracite_records actually has a TON of GB/Civ related stuff up right now, so if you’re as giant a fan as the giant purple ape named Grape, you owe it to yourself to go check it out.

This one is still in the shrink wrap and looks like its in great shape plus it comes with a BOLD poster you can hang in your room to impress chicks.

Rev Fun Fact: The now famous ‘Star’ logo was created by Alex Brown while doing the layout for the Gorilla Biscuits 7″. Ray saw it and liked it so much he called Jordan who recreated it based on the description Ray gave him over the phone. Two years later Dave Bett from ‘Important Distrobution’ offered to clean up the logo for them and its basicly been the same ever since.
