Rev Color Vinyl Is The Best

I can’t help it, I’ll always love Rev color vinyl. There’s just something about it. Each one looks so tempting to me. They catch my eye and pull me in. Like these three records below from handsomephantom (of course, he has a slew more but no one wants to see a picture of the Into Another Seemless on clear, right?).

As far as the early catalog goes, this Sick Of It All ep on red vinyl is one of the prettiest. Yeah, I said it. It’s pretty. The sleeve is dope and the vinyl matching the logo is just genius. Plus, the red is such a striking color. I can see why this generally sells for more than the first press on black vinyl.

Or this Gorilla Biscuits ep. Banana yellow? Hell yeah. This band was a branding powerhouse without even trying that hard. Big fan.

And there’s something about white vinyl. Or maybe it’s the fact that it’s an amazing Quicksand ep… A lot of the other white vinyl releases from Rev had a similar vibe, now that I think about it, … Kill Holiday, In My Eyes, Texas Is the Reason

Go ahead and snatch these up. You won’t regret it.

Quicksand, Rival Schools & Walter Schreifels what else could you need?

xbmkusyx has a great collection of records for sale.

This is a great Quicksand promo single from their first album Slip. I hated that the vinyl for this record was so thin. But still a great 7″ to own. It features Dine Alone and Can Opener.

Walter’s latest solo album on black out a 100 on 180 gram vinyl. Some great cover songs on this album.

This 7″ was released for the album Manic Compression, it features Divorce and Voice Killer. Strangely enough it is also on a really thin record.

This Rival Schools record is from the first printing back in 2001, still a classic. Everytime I listen to this it brings back memories of seeing them at Maxwells in Hoboken.

How Much Is Slip?

What’s the going rate for a clean copy of Quicksand’s ‘Slip’ LP these days?

My old friend xuttermoshx is selling one which is currently sat at less than $10 with less than three days to go.

Obviously we won’t find out how much the going rate is until the end of the auction, but interestingly if you can’t wait that long to grab a copy, or if you bid and get sniped in the last two seconds, there are two other copies for sale with pretty high BIN prices. The first one here is yours for a cent under $120:

Or you can try your luck bidding on this sealed copy with an $80 starting price or a $150 BIN in case any of you have just won the lottery and feel like going crazy.

We Interrupt Metal Monday For A Special Announcement:

Are you a drummer? Do you need a new drum case? If so, are you also a Quicksand fan, or perhaps super fan? Or maybe an Alan Cage fanatic? And do you live in driving distance of Brooklyn? Well, mlawnis has an auction for you: one of Alan Cage’s drum cases, complete with Quicksand stencil on the side.

For a second drum case auction, check TTD!

Pretend Record Store Day Doesn’t Exist.

While every other hc kid is fighting for the chance to blow their money on this years Record Store Day presses of the Quicksand, Burn and Youth of Today 7 inches, you should play it smart: these two original versions of the Quicksand and YOT ep’s that are being sold by seller apie666 have been flying under that RSD radar, and will be ending pretty soon…

RSD: Good Morning, Flippers

First off, happy Record Store Day! It’s a good one, for sure. Lots of great Rev releases, Rival Schools, Sonic Youth, … some gems. And of course, happy Flipping Day! It’s already begun. The east coast is barely 4 hours into RSD, but it’s already begun. You can thank xbestoneyetx and zork1212 for the first ups today (first EST ups, there’s already a few up in the UK).

Pale yellow or dark yellow? I’m guessing dark yellow. The pale is pretty pale. Update: Someone hit that $30 BIN, grab this one instead.

Weird. I haven’t found the Elliot EP yet. Hmmm.

The Early Bird Gets The Burn.

Seller skullsterac is making a pretty ballsy run for some money by selling all 4 of the Revelation Records’ Record Store Day pressings a week early…

A 75 buck start that someone has already jumped on? Somebody must be seriously busy next week. I’m not busy though, and by hook or by crook I’ll be getting at least a copy of the Burn ep on yellow that day. Hopefully without paying 75 bucks…

Quicksand

This is a nice little treat from usedkidsrecords. A sealed copy of Slip. An unsealed copies usually commands a respectable price. Itll be interesting what this ends up at. On a side not my favorite sealed record find ever is when I found the first Murphys Law LP still sealed at a record store. So stoked!

Rev Collection – Quicksand

Pre ebay says this record took me a while to track down. It seemed like for a while everyone that had one didnt want to give it up. I think I finally tracked one down at a record shop in providence RI. Foolishly I did not scoop up the Warzone 7″ on orange wax for $60. but at that time the price was real high and I was still in college with not so much money.

1000 on white wax

LOTS!

Two different sets of ep lots here…

Seller jk3465 kicks it old school punk style, with records from The Ramones, Iggy Pop, the Buzzcocks, and more:

Meanwhile pothole_skinny (whose auctions are ending first) moves things up a decade or so, bringing us a lot of many of the usual classic late 80s/early 90s hardcore suspects, ie Quicksand, Integrity, Inside Out…

I would guess that the hardcore lot is going to see more action; everything is clearly pictured and appears to be in good condition (some of the punk records are described as having stains), and many of them are records that draw a good $20-30 price on their own. So they’ve got that going for them. Which is nice.

Reject Auctions.

Plenty of records available from chrisreject this week, and I have to say, for a boot, this is a nice looking United Blood 7 inch.

It’s only on closer inspection that you see how pixelated (maybe a better word for it is overexposed) that cover actually is. Other than that though, really nice looking, and that photocopied poster is pretty cool. Def a much nicer looking total package than the one we saw go for $200+ back in August. He also has some other nice stuff, like this Quicksand on white and an original Kraut 7 inch.

24 Hours Left.

The majority of xundergroundx’s NYC Hardcore related auctions are coming to an end in the next 24 hours, so I figured now’s a good time to throw up some of the ones we haven’t given you a peek at yet.

The Turning Point and the NFAA are probably your best bets for a last minute score right now; as of this writing NFAA is still unbid on at it’s starting price of $15 (2nd press, but it’s still a good buy at that price), and the TP is at $10 with 1 bid. Not showing the insert is probably hurting it, despite the assurances that it comes with the record.

I still need that Underdog lp but there is no way im gonna drop that kinda dough. Maybe you will? Here is your chance man.
