Rearrange yourself

This is the the last Aram / React auction I’m gonna post. I wanted to post something from this band for a while now but haven’t even seen anything on e-bay from them! I kind of feel like people are sleeping on some of these records because they are from places far away (perhaps even more so mentally than geographically). Rearranged are from Moscow and this is their 2nd record (they also have a sweet LP on Anger Battery) and it sounds a lot like Minor Threat and Uniform Choice, but still pretty original and refreshing. Hardcore might have come a little late to Russia, but when it rained, it freakin’ poured and we got great records like this. Keeping a clear sight

We’ve been posting some of Aram/React’s testpressing auctions, and here is one of my favorite releases on the label. Ukraine’s own Clearsight. I’ve been jamming them since I ordered their green cassette demo after I read a review of it on HYE, thanks Murph! Then React! decided to release that demo on vinyl, and it came out great! No frills hardcore in the vein of Straight Ahead, with some YOT inspired vocals. Cannot lose! What’s up to Roman, and everyone else in Clearsight, Ukraine, Russia and the rest of the CIS! Keep your eyes peeled for a new Clearsight 7″ due to be coming out on React!

Also I guess Brett Rasmussen of Ignite is playing bass for them now? How wild is that? United worold-wide! Hardcore knows no borders!

A hundred bucks?

A strange little lot being offered here by sativablue. The 2010 React Records box set, a Cast Aside test, a Go Time test, and a DFL 7″. That’s all the seller bothers to mention. There are then three more records in the lot – a Lion Of Judah ‘Number-rology’ 7″, another DFL 7″, a Straight faced 7″, and something else in the top left that I don’t know what it is. This has a starting bid of $50, and a BIN of $100. From where I’m sitting the BIN seems pretty reasonable. Anyone gonna take it?

Mindset and Sacred Love Test Presses From Ev

I’m not sure why Ev is selling these great items from his personal collection, but you can guarantee, we support it. 2012 is a good year to look out for you friends. So get into it.

First up is the Mindset EP on React Records. Love, love, LOVE this one. So good.

Next up is the Sacred Love Dividing Lines LP test press from Youngblood Records. I’ve gotta claim ignorance. Somehow, I have not heard this one.

Not a test press but rather a tour press. We’ll take it still.

Finally, the demo test press. Another Youngblood Records release. Get into it.

Tre / Emil / Damages / Rejected Damages

In the previous Damages test pressing post today me and Tre had a gentleman’s disagreement if the similarity to Deadguy in the Damages EP on React! Records is a positive thing. Well, there is no accounting for taste, and just like our two different opinions there happens to also be two different test pressings of that 7″. Here the same seller incorrectthoughts (Allentown, PA…is this Double Decker??) is also offering the rejected version. Check it out, I don’t know what was wrong with it, but here it is, unloved and weeded out, just like Deadguy is to Tre, so sad, so sad. Deadguy would dig it.

React Records is Ill Blood

Today is the last day of auctions for xuttermoshx aka, the head honcho of React Records. Aram always does it proper. Brings out plenty of goodies for the masses. I like that. And it’s ALWAYS more than just React records pressings.

Take this No Warning Ill Blood LP. I can’t for the life of me fathom how it’s already over $50. Especially for a black vinyl copy. Weird. But someone must be dumping their life savings into it. I heard a No Warning cover at Sound And Fury 2011. Kids moshed. And moshed hard. Good look!

Don’t you love it when themes collide. If you weren’t aware (LOL), the crew leaves for Sound And Fury in a couple of days. It’s going to be a fun one. I quickly scoured ebay to bring together our favorite Test Press Tuesday and SAF bands. Oddly, I found just the one Not Sorry test pressing. All good, as this one is definitely worth scooping up.

Give – Heaven Is Waiting

It makes sense that Give is from Washington DC. If you didn’t know any better, you’d think they were a band that released an album on Dischord in the late 80s / early 90s. The vibe is there. Go ahead and grab these EPs from life_as_one. The yellow is limited to 200, the blue is limited to 300 (and is still available from React Records). Get into it.

React Records Boxset #1 Of 6

Fucking Aram. Just when you think you’ve seen every React Records release out there, he drops another one on you. You all recall the React Records boxset. It was limited to 100 (or so, as I recall) and was fucking cool. But each record was on black vinyl. Apparently Aram put together 6, that’s right SIX, on color vinyl. This is #1 of 6. I smell a fight brewing on this one.

Each sale goes towards putting out more records on React Records so don’t worry about digging deep.

Test Press Thursday is Canadian For Test Press Tuesday

I’m a big fan of xuttermoshx but doesn’t he know the difference between Tuesdays and Thursdays? I’d guess not, otherwise he would have put all of these test presses up earlier. It’s all good. Most of them you will recognize and drool over. React Records at their best. Aram is selling these to support the label and put out more releases. I can back that. Go ahead and grab these, and when you win them, remind Aram that Tuesday is not Thursday.

Definitely check the other auctions too, as Aram listed over 30 gems from the React Records vault. Some choice platters here.

React Records Boxset

Here’s the thing with React Records: a record release is never just a record release. It’s an event. It comes with bells, whistles and streamers. Aram is king of presentation and packaging. Take this React Records box from everyonerage26 for example. Posters, screened box, prints, stickers, stamps, … and of course, records. The only thing missing is a kitchen sink and a hemp patch (not really). Aram does it right, and we’re fans. Head over to the React Records site and pick up some merch. Support a good dude with great bands.

Screaming Gets You Nothing … But Big Lots

Big fan of this guys ebay name, screaminggetsyounothing. Good nod to American Nightmare. I’m not positive, but I figure I must know this individual. Somerville, Mass; lots and lots of positive feedback (1676); plenty of decent records. I figure, I gotta know this person. They are unloading some GIANT lots currently. And it isn’t just vinyl. ComicNoize.com fans would appreciate the big comic lots too. You’d think this seller was a Noize Corp employee based on their auctions … Who is this mystery person??

Lots of hidden gems in this lot (American Nightmare, Betrayed, …). Check it.

Oh boy. Aram told me to keep an eye on ebay as he was preparing to drop some heavy hitters. For those who don’t know, Aram runs React Records! and is an all around good dude. Cooch posted up the MAJOR bomb earlier today, and you would think that would outshine the rest. Not so, I say. Aram brought out plenty of big guns. LOTS of awesome test presses from React. Check em.

Hardcore For Education

The Hardcore For Education auctions are finally online, and damn, it was worth the wait (at least from a record collector standpoint). Loads of gems up from goldenempirepto, and every cent (minus ebay fees and the like) goes DIRECTLY back into the school for the kids. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, head on over to Help Golden Empire to read their back story.

The list of contributors is great: React Records, Revelation Records, Smorgasbord Records, … Great crew. So run out, spend a lot on these. And don’t worry, just remember, every penny you spend is going to kids. That may help ease your conscious (but not your bank account or wallet).
