An auction that makes more sense: Warzone – Lower East Side Crew E.P.

Seller unholyone666 has got an auction that makes more sense to me than another certain Warzone listing I posted the other day. If I had to pick, I think I’d pick this listing over the other….

Up for auction is Revelation 1: Warzone – Lower East Side Crew E.P. This is the 2nd Press on gold/orange vinyl out of 500. unholyone666 listed this 7″ with true faith in his product. Started the bidding with a relatively low starting bid and with 4 days left this will definitely get bumped up a little higher.

Chain of Strength’s – What Holds Us Apart 1st Press

As I type up this, I am listening to a live set of Chain of Strength at the Anthrax in 88. The recording of them sounds so raw and exactly how they should have been captured on vinyl/cd/mp3/whatever. It’s a shame that the discography ”The One Thing That Still Holds True” takes away so much from them as a band and from their original 7″ mixes. When I first heard Chain Of Strength it was because of that compilation release that Rev put out. Then later down the line I heard the original mixes and was blown away again.  Seller chubasco909 is providing us with the **First Press** of What Holds Us Apart on Foundation Records. Do yourself a favor and pick up True Till Death and this and hear Chain how they were supposed to be heard. Time travel back to the Anthrax in Connecticut to check out a set is pretty expensive, so I think that the vinyl is the next best thing.

**1st press was rejected**
This is 2nd press cover (or 1st accepted pressing cover) paired up with a Mindpower vinyl. Slight mix up Continue reading »

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY: GB S/T

I decided I would have a themed day of posts considering it is Superbowl Sunday. So all day I’ll be posting auctions for bands that have played the Superbowl of Hardcore.

Starting things off is this auction by durtymickstore for a GB self-titled 7″. It’s on black, nothing special, but there are 3 available from the seller, and there are kids out there that don’t have this record. If it’s missing from your collection, well, here you go.

Keep an eye on the site today, for more exciting auctions than this one.

When you get your tax return back, spend it on this

vitaminhedgehog is selling record that needs to come home. It needs to find it’s way back across the Pacific Ocean. For the Pete’s sake. For the sake of Blastmaster KRS-ONE. For America.

Into Another – Seemless

Seller soulcraft1977 has got an auction for Into Another’s vinyl release on Revelation Records while they were on the major, Hollywood Records. I know this is my roommates favorite Into Another release so I thought to post it up since we were talking about Into Another the other night. A little less than 2 days on this auction.  If you are into Reaper Records or test presses, or a combination of both I would strongly suggest you to check out the rest of soulcraft1977‘s auctions for some goodies.

No sleeve? Bummer man.

euclidrecords has a bit of a problem on their hands. This Chain of Strength 7″ has no sleeve with it. It’s just the record. But it’s possible that there is someone out there with just a sleeve, and no record. Wouldn’t that be a match made in heaven? Or maybe your record is scratched or has a skip in it. Well this is the perfect chance to get a replacement without having to buy an extra sleeve. Don’t you just hate extra sleeves?

Together – the record, insert & back cover (somewhere else)

We’ve seen some weird Revelation items up for sale recently. First we saw some crafty swindler sell some No For An Answer 7″ with a dodgy “found in the closet” style numbering on the sleeve. After that someone else took the piss and listed a broken Chain of Strength 7″, which someone actually bought. This then brought some dude out of the woodwork who had twenty Chain of Strength 7″s with no cover for sale. And now it appears that baosgarden is trying to take this game to the next level by selling a front cover of the ‘Together’ 7″. Yup, that’s right, there’s no record or insert in sight here. This is the front cover only. Oh, and just in case when I said ‘front cover’ you thought I meant ‘sleeve’, then be warned… I meant ‘front cover’ only. This here is just the front half of the cover. If you happen to want the back cover too then you’re shit out of luck… although it wouldn’t surprise me if we see some opportunist selling that separately next week.

I’m sure that this item will more than sell itself, but just to give it an extra push, dude adds in some crucial detail that is sure to send most people into a bidding frenzy:

There is a small tackhole on the top edge and a small scratch in the middle. Perfect for a test pressing or a frame!“.

I would question the statement ‘perfect for a test pressing’ given that the tests of this I have seen come with a cover anyway. But yes, I concur, this would be perfect for a frame. And right above the frame the buyer could get an engraved plaque that reads “Check out this crap that I was stupid enough to buy on ebay”.

Can’t wait to see how much this sells for.

Holy Gold Vinyl, Batman!

Lets start with a piece of advice: if you aren’t a big dog, stay away from this auction. This one is certain to POW WHAM a wallet. No doubt. gouge_away is sitting on a GOLD mine. This ep has some stellar tracks, from WarZone to Supertouch to probably the BEST Bold track. EVER. There are 400 of these on orange vinyl, and “a number of these” came with batman or superman stamps. No idea how man “a number of these” is, of course. Anyone got a Superman stamp? I’d love to see it.

Orange 12 inch 9 millimetre

In this item description, kennethsworld states that there were 300 of thee things pressed on orange vinyl. However, that’s not entirely true. The Bible states that:

A little under half of the color vinyl are actually salmon color, while the rest are orange/white swirl, definitely two separate colors. If you were to put the two different colors side by side you’ll easily recognize the difference. If you only have one, the salmon one is opaque while the orange is slightly see-through. The pressing plant did not list them as separate so exact numbers for each are not known.

This one here is one of the ‘salmon’ opaque copies and is currently sat at $19. I don’t think this thing goes for too much more on average, so might be worth picking up if you are one of those weird people who acknowledges that Revelation released anything after the Ray & Porcell 7″.

Judge BID Poster

See this original, giant Judge ‘Bringin’ It Down’ poster here that toybuddy1964 is selling for his good friend? I used to have one of these framed on my wall. For about three years it was literally the only thing hanging on the walls in any of the places that I lived. Then one day I switched the poster in the frame to the ‘New York Hardcore – The Way It Is’, and for some dumbass reason I then traded the Judge poster away. I guess I was kinda bored of it & someone offered me some good records for it. Wish I still had it though. I’d like to see this hanging on my wall again.

I’m in a Minorty of One

So do people universally hate this album? Seems so. When it came out I remember there was a brief spark of excitement and then most people just crapped on it. I got mine used for $3 during that time, probably from someone getting it, getting bummed and dumping it off asap. I don’t know, I think it’s not that bad. It’s not the Dag we know on “Can I Say” but it’s better than “Field Day” era Dag, to these ears anyway. This is the most limited red vinyl, (the seller mistakenly calls it orange, and he has an orange copy for sale too) out of 264. I think some of the tracks on this are catchy!

Another Rev color piece form krewjones 2+ days left at $12 bucks….

Where Fear and Weapons Meet

I think this is another record I got for free from Rev sometime around 2001. I agree with krewjones’ assessment. This is a pretty good, super tight, fast hardcore, but it usually gets passed over. Maybe because they were form Florida? Maybe because they had a split CD with Commin’ Correct? I don’t know. Anyway, give this a shot, this is the orange vinyl out of 222. I don’t really know what to compare this to musically, Vision comes to mind. It has a tinge of melody to it. The production is pretty slick and tight (but not overly so), this record is rather catchy.

I’m Going To Get You High Today Because It’s Test Press Thursday …

Allright, already, burn it! Anyone else ever think these trio of songs from Down To Nothing had a seriously stoner slant to their titles? What’s up with that? Here’s what I do know. There are 15 of these EP test presses. And you would be buying it from a dude who played on the album. You can’t beat that.

In a kingdom of lost souls…

I love this record. The way I got into it is pretty cool too. I ordered something from Rev in 2001 and they sent a clipped-corner copy of this LP as packing material. I didn’t know what this band was, I didn’t know anything about it. I listened to the record and was immediately into it and wondered why they were giving these away. I later became sort of a Damnation AD super-fan and got every version of this LP sans test, I still have my clipped-corner copy too! So I fell in love with this LP purely based on it’s musical merit and nothing else. I was just getting into hardcore (from primarily listening to punk and thrash in HS) at the time and most bands from the late 90′s were still new to me. This is the original limited color (grey) out of 223. Orange was the “final pressing” color. Auction still @ .99 start.

krewjones also has a 2nd copy of this LP for sale, as well as a bunch of other later-era Rev color vinyl.

Bonus useless info: the cover of this is from an old WW2 board-game.

Ray And Porcell And Tre And BMurph

We told Aram to keep this one under his hat, but apparently he felt the need to air it out on ebay. That’s cool. I’m sure PLENTY of people will skip his auction and never catch the news. Either way, 2012 is going to be huge. Deathwish Inc is going to have their biggest year ever in 2012. Early fall. Just you wait … For more info, check out Aram’s auction.
