Seller arthurwelikeyou has got a rarity of a less favored record in the Rev catalog up for grabs. This Ray & Porcell 7″ is from the mailorder-only press, limited to 100. This copy is hand-stamped #89 of 100 (as you can see in the pic). Super rare. The purple sleeve – with lyrics printed on the inside. It should be interesting to see where this ends at because I have heard so many people talk about this thing sucking. I’m sure the REV Collector Board is all over this, and someone over there will be bidding.

Poster Noize: Bringin’ It Down
Just taking one look at the picture of the Judge Bringin’ It Down promo poster that seller aapjekoala has up right now, no one is going to mistake it for mint condition.
Hell, I know this originally came folded but it looks like it has been folded AGAIN from top to bottom. That bottom right corner is nothing to brag about either.
However as I have found out personally, you throw one of these into a cheap poster frame from Michaels and a good quarter inch around the edges will be hidden by the frame. The plastic or glass top hides a lot of the surface problems that may exist on the front too.
All I am saying is that it’s definitely an option as this original Revelation Judge promo poster is stalled on it’s opening price with only one bid. Someone could get this for a steal and still make it look pretty good.
Pink is for boys and blue is for girls
Over time, many words go through elevations in their meaning, or they fall from grace, or they end up meaning the complete opposite of what they originally signified. For example, there was a time when “girl” meant any young person, “gay girls” was used for girls and “knave girls” was used for boys. The actual word “boy” at one time in the past had a somewhat patronizing feel to it as it was mainly used for servants.
In the good ol Christian tradition red has always been a strong color that was associated with men (Kings usually wore scarlet). Pink became a boys’ color as a lighter hue of red.

Blue was associated with the Virgin Mary and therefore considered more of a girls’ color.

And then Barbie changed everything…
Make sure you check out other auctions from mryentafo because the girl’s got the goods. GO YOU GIRLS!
Bold EP orange
Around 2003 when I was wasting time in college, I had a part-time job along with my then-roommate at a document copying place. It wasn’t your average Kinko’s (I would later on work there too, unforunately), but it was a place in a high-rise downtown that mainly made copies of large stacks of documents for law firms, manuals and other boring shit. It was a real gym locker room type of atmosphere and we all told each other dirty jokes and made stupid fun of each other on a regular basis. Basically a typical place where a young hardcore loser would work. Looking back at it, that place sucked but I was a pretty horrible worker who didn’t give a shit and didn’t deserve any better. Anyway, there was a jaded dropout that worked there that “moved on” from hardcore into boring garage-rock and stuff, so he agreed to sell me and my roommate some of his old hardcore records. After haggling some I got him to to sell me his BOLD 7″ on orange for $20. I forgot what my roommate got, I didn’t have a lot of money so I couldn’t afford to get anything else from him at that point. After me and my roommate sort of trail-blazed that spot a few other hardcore and punk kids from around the way did time there and many flyers and zines were made there.
Rightly confident in the sellability of this classic EP arthurwelikeyou has started the bidding at just 0.01, and has many other good records listed with the same opening bid, check it out.
Into Another – Seemless LP
Yeah I’m going to the Rev 25 shows and yeah I sort of like Into Another but not as much as some people. Maybe one of these people will like to own this copy of ‘Seemless’. The vocals here sounds SO MUCH like later Bad Brains to me, which isn’t a bad thing, but I’d rather a band sound like early Brains than late. Anyway, this LP was Into Another’s major label debut but Revelation put out the vinyl version. I know at least one person who’s going to the Rev Thursday show JUST for Into Another….(not me!).
Why ebay never ceases to amaze/confuse me
I was reading a collector forum earlier today where some people were discussing the relative merits of selling records through various venues… eBay, Discogs, set sale lists, in person at shows, etc etc. The common sentiment seemed to be that prices vary too much to say which place is best, especially ebay. Here’s a great example.
B. Murphy’s favorite overpriced-opening-bid-seller truckfighter420 has this nice looking yellow vinyl GB 7″ going for $150 with two bids even though there’s no mention of an insert being included.
Now seller mtd71 has a similar condition copy up, with insert shown, yet his $120 Buy-It-Now has been wasting away for a day longer than Mr. 420′s listing. Am I missing something here? Also, when did this 7″ get so expensive? I seem to remember it consistently going for $40-50 not that long ago.
7 inch Gorilla vs 12 inch Gorilla
It was years before i knew that the European 12″ pressing of the Gorilla Biscuits 7″ had extra songs. I mean, why would I? Back when I was starting out I managed to get a first press copy of the self titled 7″, like this one that oftimespast is selling, and I was happy. I already had the yellow vinyl copy, so after getting a first press I thought that was it. Done. No need for anything else. (This was wayyy back before the internet, so nobody really knew about these #/102 copies, or the white copies, or the Warzone b-side labels or any other insane variants you can think of).
So then YEARS later and I came across a copy of the European 12″ pressing on We Bite Records going for cheap, so I picked it up just for the sake of having it… and then I realised it had a load of extra songs on it. Some of them are comp tracks, but there are also a couple of demo songs, including the song ‘Slut’ which you won’t find anywhere else. So in case you were also ignorant to this information like I was for years, consider yourself now clued in. And if you now want one then firebythesea78 has one for you, which also comes with a 1991 European Tour poster.
Chain Of Strength – The One Thing That Still Holds True
Superstar hardcore seller alcontrast or Al from Contrast Records is bringing the heat with a favorite around here. Sell anything on ebay that is on color vinyl from Revelation 1 – 23 and someone around here will find it. It is what it is.
So here we have Chain of Strength’s The One Thing That Still Holds True lp on glorious green vinyl. There were only 312 pressed, making it rare enough to go for big bucks even though most people hate the remix/rerecording/re-whatever the hell was done to make the songs not sound like the 7″s.
There is plenty of time left for everyone to put this record in their saved searches and make last second bids to snipe each other on Monday night. That’s hardcore.
