And here is that Wailers “Catch A Fire” zippo cover. Island went all out with this one. Die cut cover in the shape of a zippo, hinged cover that flips open. I cant imagine what this would cost to make today. This one for sale by pip1964 is a little worse for wear, with the top hinged part having come undone. Easy to see how that could happen with 38 years of being flipped open by stoners.

At least Catch A Fire is a self destructive record and isnt going to destroy the rest of your record collection like this zipper cover of Sticky Fingers from hometown record store in_your_ear_records

This record will chill you out if you wanna stay in on a Saturday night and do some dust. Pixie stick dust I mean. I normally like to make pixie stick and captain crunch sandwiches when I have detention but sometimes you gotta bust em out on the weekends in New England just to stay warm.

Ooh, a good Rolling Stones story is last weekend I was in NYC to visit friends and see the Murder City Devils sloppy drunk reunion *it blew*. I was in the basement of Generations cruising a million represses when this super square dad with a very worn brown leather jacket waltzes up to the chick behind the counter and asks her really loudly, “I’m looking for some Stones records, and I just got done with all the S’s and can’t find any.” A few people in the place laughed as he was reminded the band is called the Rolling Stones.

This lp has the 1st press 3d cover and features 2000 Man, Wes Anderson’s favorite “Stones” song. Neato!
