Daylight – Dispirit Record Release

Bmurph posted about Daylight with the correct records and the wrong video about 3 weeks ago. Luckily our readers commented and let him know that the video was not for the right band. This past weekend Daylight had a record release show for their new record entitled “The Difference in Good and Bad Dreams”. Everyone should check it out and pick it up at Run For Cover. Daylight had a record release version for that record that I wasn’t able to get my hands on and isn’t on ebay right now. But, If you are behind on their record releases seller bvan5298 has got the record release for the Daylight’s last 7″ entitled “Dispirit” that was on Six Feet Under Records.

I’m sort of mad at rfcrecords right now. Not real mad, but I sat out Test Press Tuesday this week; there wasn’t too much notable stuff, so I let Cooch and Murphy handle it. Next thing I know, I see a Facebook posting saying that they have a bunch of test presses up for auction! Would it have killed you to coordinate with me, Dre? Thankfully, we have Test Press Thursday to fall back on…

I kid because I love. Expect another post with the rest of the auctions in a few.

I heard Tigers Jaw absolutely crushed it at Krazyfest. Just krushed it, if you will. I give the thumbs up. Watch this video, and I bet you’ll agree (sadly, not from Krazyfest).

Then grab this Self Titled LP from outbreakhc. Released on Run For Cover Records and limited to 300 on this color. Very hot. Make sure to head over to RFC to buy some vinyl there too. Spread the love.

Tigers Jaw At Club Lido Tonight

Tigers Jaw is playing Club Lido tonight in Revere, Mass. But you know what? Fuck Club Lido. I seriously hate that place. After all the bullshit of the Edge Day / Last Have Heart gig, I’ve had enough of that place. I’ll patiently wait for Garvey to bring them back to the Elks or Democracy Center for a gig, acoustic or whatever. I’m still looking for those acoustic MP3s. Who has ‘em? If you want the vinyl, make sure to check out the auctions from griffin.bruce and foundasian22. They have the same one up, so if one gets too pricey, just grab the other.

And if you slept on the LP on color vinyl, fear not. foundasian22 also has that one up now. Get at it. Better yet, hit up Run For Cover Records and get the LP straight from the label & band. Grab some of those tees too.

Run For Cover Records have put up three of their most recent test presses for auction this week to raise money for future releases. Since RFC are the ones who give me my Tiger’s Jaw fix (and since Dre will just out me for liking them in the comments anyways, my Wonder Years fix… I like pop punk sometimes, sue me), I therefore wish for them to raise as much money as possible, and thus am showcasing their auctions in the precious lunch time spot:

Clearly, they don’t need my help, as the TJ press has already cleared 200, and the other two are easily cruising towards the 100 dollar mark. But still. Dre, you owe me.

I Was Never Your Boyfriend

How did I sleep on this band for so long? Seriously. I feel like I’ve been depriving myself of great tunes for years now. This LP dropped back in 2008 (pretty sure, maybe 2007) on Photobooth Records. It was later pressed on Run For Cover Records, who are also shortly releasing Tigers Jaw’s new LP Two Worlds. Gatefold release too! It’s right around the corner really. November 23. I’m pretty much dying to hear it. Go to rfc records to pre-order. To tide you over, pick up the first LP from welcometogaithersburg. I gotta get emps of those acoustic sets. Kicking myself for not having done that sooner.
