Still keeping it Reel!

Here is one last batch of those weird Reel-to-Reel tapes that talbe1019 is selling. Duane from thorp records speculated that the seller worked at a radion station and just took all the old tapes when they were finally cleaning house and ready to throw them away. Thats as good an explanation as I could come up with!

Danzig live in LA from 1989 and The Cult live in London with no date

Here is a 3 band set that includes DRI, Exodus & Megadeth

This one is listed as Scatterbrain recorded at the Empire Concert Club in Cleveland and Great White live at the Celebrity Theater in Anaheim, but the details of the auction say that its Scatterbrain & Mr. Big, but has a list of Great White songs. If you’re really interested in this one you might want to ask the seller to be sure who it is.

And the last one I will share is another 3 band set that includes Orange 9mm, Korn & Monster Magnet, but offers no additional info about where/when they were recorded.

Stay Gold Chuck!

I was going to include this record in yesterdays post of random test presses, but I hold the record duckysellsit is selling in slightly higher reguards than most of those others.

I remember finding a copy of LUDICHRIST immaculate deception at one of the old record stores on Thayer Street in Providence in the late 80′s and being super psyched to get it because Chuck Valle played bass on it and Murphy’s Law was my favorite band at the time. Now, this record is not as cool as a Murphy’s Law test press, but its still cool!

RIP Chuck!

Scatterbrain & Ludichrist

r.new has a couple of LPs featuring both Tommy Christ & Glen Cummings.

First up is the Immaculate Deception LP by Ludichrist. I picked this up WAY back when I first got into hardcore because I noticed that Chuck Valle played on it and Murphy’s Law was the first hardcore band I had seen live. Its definitly more metal than Murphy’s Law, but I still have this LP after all those years!

Next up is Scatterbrain ‘Hear Comes Trouble’. After Ludichrist broke up Tommy & Glen got back together and formed Scatterbrain. They were a comical, funky, metal, rock band…. probably very stereotypical for the early 90′s. I actually saw these guys at Deringers in Brockton, MA playing with Ugly Kid Joe!
