Another BIN lot from melissajason2010 but this one has a heavy focus on Ray Cappo. Perfect for budding stalkers. Kinda high for a BIN on these. Who ever said stalking was gonna be cheap?!

Big Lots BIN 2
Shelter and Live YOT Test Presses.
By sheer happenstance, I accidentally scooped Cooch on these Ray Cappo oriented test presses for sale from incorrectthoughts, aka Double Decker Records. Sadly, while the Shelter test is for a legit Shelter record, the YOT test is for a live bootleg. Kind of a shame, as I’m sure a test of CCME or WNITA would have drawn beaucoup attention. But I do have to say, it’s got a pretty cool looking sleeve, especially for something that’s image free.
Happy Valentine’s Day?
Seller sreich666′s auctions have managed to stay pretty much off our radar until now; these three all end in less than a day, and are still less than or around 5 bucks. Weird thing is tho, in each of these auctions, he makes sure to mention that they’d make a “great Valentine’s Day gift”, and Valentine’s Day, as we all know, was three days ago. Methinks SOMEONE is single…
Me, You, Youth Crew.
I’m posting these Shelter records being sold by iheartprunes not so much because I’m a giant Shelter fan (I like Mantra, and while Jeremiah from Proclamation and I used to listen to some of their Equal Vision releases in his car, that’s about all I ever bothered to get into), but because Tony Pops of Radio Silence (a book) and In My Eyes (a band) fame put up this cool little video, apparently as a precursor to his next book project, and I felt you should peep it.
Why do I use Shelter records for this plug and not YOT as the title suggests? Because the part about seeing Shelter is especially choice. Check it out for yourself:

(I seriously don’t know why these embed codes never, EVER work for me.)
lots of vinyl, but no beads!
When I checked out xsmikex’s other auctions I was surprised I didnt find some Krishna beads, but maybe he was just a Shelter fan and not a devotee. What he has is more Shelter 7″s than I have ever seen and probably more than anyone should have.
One of the oddest shows I saw back in the day was Dropdead opening for Shelter. I cant remember the club, but it was on the second floor of a building in downtown Providence. I think it was Dropdead, Onion & Shelter and it was a weird mix of people!!
lots of Posi Tapes!
loop88 has a couple of tape lots that are ending TODAY around 3:00pm est!
Lot #1 gets you both Start Today and the Gorilla Biscuits ep as well as Speak Out & Looking Back by Bold!

Lot # 2 is a Ray Cappo bonanza! Can’t Close my Eyes, Both versions of Break Down The Walls, Were Not In this alone, Disengage, the Ray & Porcell 2 song tape, Shelter’s 1st 6 song Tape & the Krishna chanting cassette

Krishna Core 101
Lots of zines and some records coming out of East Haddam, CT.
If you act fast you can pick up the 1990 debut 7″ and the later 1990 follow up LP from Raghunath and the boys. I remember seeing Shelter a few times at Club Baby Head and the best part was there was always free food at the merch table! I still have my copy of ‘In Defense of Reality’ and some beads at home where too, but I never had a śikhā.
best youth crew kick ever?
artyarty19 must have cleaned out the catch-all ‘junk’ drawer at his house becuase he is selling a bluetooth headset, an empty glass coke bottle, some random golf balls, a graphic calculator, a deck of Joe Camel playing cards and this Youth of Today 7″….. weird!
My best memory of this record isnt actually of the record itself, its just of the cover image. I was with 2 friends at a Bosstones show at the W.A.G. in Worcester, MA and we were there HOURS early just hanging out. Joe Sirios the drummer for the Bosstones asked us to give him a ride to a liqure store. So the 4 of us hopped in my dads 1967 Badacuda and drove up the street. Joe bought us all soda and gave us pieces of ‘Black Jack’ chewing gum from the pack he just bought. When we got back to W.A.G. Joe let us follow him in to watch set up and hang out. Dickey was standing around and he was wearing the Youth of Today shirt with that image of Ray from this record on it. One of my friends was rocking the Krishna haircut at the time (it was 1991 I think) and the first couple of Shelter records had already come out. When Dickey say the Krishna cut he pulled off the YOT shirt and handed it to my friend and said “enjoy”.
Side Note: Totally unrelated to the event at W.A.G. the kid that Dickey gave the YOT shirt to ended up having his picture used as part of the back cover artwork for the rerelease of ‘More Noise & Other Disturbances’.
