vitaminhedgehog is selling record that needs to come home. It needs to find it’s way back across the Pacific Ocean. For the Pete’s sake. For the sake of Blastmaster KRS-ONE. For America.

Sick Of It All – Red 7″ (with some black in it)

A total Rev classic being offered here by straightray. There were lots of these, although somehow I still don’t own one in a regular sleeve. Sometimes you can get one of these for a decent price, unlike some other Rev color pressings. Perhaps because there are hundreds of these things out there, or maybe because SOIA are still going so they don’t have quite the same legendary status as Warzone or Chain? I don’t know, I’m only speculating. Anyway, this copy has a little bit of black in it too, which may or may not make it more desireable.

I’m still holding a spare one of these that comes in the rarely seen photocopied sleeve, which has some black specks all over it. You can see some pics on my blog. If you want to trade for it then get in touch.

Rev Color Vinyl Is The Best

I can’t help it, I’ll always love Rev color vinyl. There’s just something about it. Each one looks so tempting to me. They catch my eye and pull me in. Like these three records below from handsomephantom (of course, he has a slew more but no one wants to see a picture of the Into Another Seemless on clear, right?).

As far as the early catalog goes, this Sick Of It All ep on red vinyl is one of the prettiest. Yeah, I said it. It’s pretty. The sleeve is dope and the vinyl matching the logo is just genius. Plus, the red is such a striking color. I can see why this generally sells for more than the first press on black vinyl.

Or this Gorilla Biscuits ep. Banana yellow? Hell yeah. This band was a branding powerhouse without even trying that hard. Big fan.

And there’s something about white vinyl. Or maybe it’s the fact that it’s an amazing Quicksand ep… A lot of the other white vinyl releases from Rev had a similar vibe, now that I think about it, … Kill Holiday, In My Eyes, Texas Is the Reason

Go ahead and snatch these up. You won’t regret it.

STRAIGHT AHEAD “BREAKAWAY” EP DJ Sleeve

Everyone, Everywhere take a look at this auction. Seller shane-sells is bringing to you today a first press of Straight Ahead – Breakaway EP. The first press of this EP comes with a simple dj sleeve with a small sticker with the band’s logo and out of 1000. 2nd and 3rd press have the cover with the lion on it, that has been bootlegged a million different times. The difference between the 2nd and 3rd press are the stamps on the vinyl, the second press is out of a 500 with the regular stamps and the 3rd press has inverted stamps and is out of an unknown number close to 500 because someone owed someone money.  I forget exactly what the story is with the third pressing. Someone should fill me in.  Check out the auction it ends in 3 days.

Spirit Of Youth

Heres a really nice 1st pressing of the Straight Ahead 12″ from bellelameg. Looks like it still has the shrinkwrap on it too. This is one of those records that everyone should own. But since theres only 500 of them I guess that wont happen. You can make due with the Stop and Think 12″ in the meantime.

Together 2nd press

Buying this is usually worth it for the Youth of Today track alone. But i’m interested in what kind of reserve aapjekoala has on this thing. If its anything like his other auctions then hes probably not making a sale. Not to someone in the US at least.

Tre’s Sick Of It All.

Not even a month in to his run here on Vinyl Noize, and Tre is already whining and complaining to me about how sick and tired he is of all the hard work he has to put in to draft up a post, insert the picture, codify the link to eBay, come up with something witty to say, and so on. Not even a month in! What a baby, to get sick of it all so soon… and speaking of Tre and being sick of it all, how sick am I of posting Tre’s auctions for Sick Of It All ep’s? HOW MANY OF THESE DO YOU HAVE YOU SONOFABITCH?!

Record Store Day edition:

4th press:

Gilman St edition:

Second press, #1582 (numbered 1000-2000).

First press, #55/1000.

BIN might be a little high?

jcsmiths is selling rare copy of Sick of it Alls ‘Based on a True Story’. Its one of the black/white swirl/mix vinyl copies and he says its limited to 150 copies. I know a lot of people collect SOIA stuff so 150 is a pretty low number for a cool color vinyl variant, but I think he might be just a little off with his BIN price.

I’m gonna let you check it out and comment back here to let me know what you think. Maybe I’ve been out of the loop to long and this is a good price. Perhaps ‘Based on a True Story’ on colored vinyl is the new Chung King or the next God Save the Queen 7″.

“Built To Last” is right…

I am getting old and my memory is fading but I wanna say that this might be the first hardcore album I’ve ever heard, all the way back in 10th grade. It’s either this or Minor Threat, either way it is the first NYHC album for sure. Anyway, the first time I’ve ever even heard of SOIA, was in 7th or 8th grade, like many of my peers, through the Beavis and Butthead video of ‘Step Down’ from “Scratch The Surface”. It didn’t really impress me that much then, but when someone borrowed me a dub tape that had the “Built To Last” LP on it a couple years later, I was really impressed. I still didn’t really know what the hell this was, in terms of qualification “punk ” , “hardcore”, etc., all I knew is that it was catchy as hell and that I liked it.

Much time has passed since 10th grade, and although it will never be in the same bracket as “Blood, Sweat and No Tears”, I think this album still holds up, especially for a mid-period record. For my money it sure beats all the Fa(r)t Wreck stuff that came later. They still play some of these songs live and I was psyched they opened the show with “Good Lookin’ Out” the last time I saw them. “Thinking back, on what we had! Whoooooooooaaaaaaoh” JUST FUN.

Here is your chance to get a limited to 300 version of this on blue from poule518.

Sick Of It All – Red Vinyl

Every now and then, we come across a different looking Sick Of It All EP. The red vinyl was pressed in a LARGE amount. There are 1000 of them. Oddly, a bunch of them seem to be really weird mixes. We’ve seen red with black spots, black swirls, clear red and all sorts of other variations. This one from andywkf is a little different too. Great black swirls on this one. No mention of what number this one is. Somewhere between 1001 and 2000. Somewhere.

Lot Of It All

It may not be everything, but this Sick Of It All is pretty deep. All the LPs, some color wax and even a few EPs. Sadly, there aren’t any old S/T EPs, but sentrand does slide in the white one. Not too shabby. I especially appreciate how the seller says, “no i will not break up this set. so please do not ask that. i will, but for the same price as the set.” Sort of asinine if you ask me. Hit the BIN or make an offer.

More Demo Noize.

And we’re back again with another round of Demo Noize! As you know by now, seller gernblandsten is selling off the collection of a member of OxBlood and Fit of Anger, and we’re showing it off. Lots of good stuff in this round of Demo Noize, in fact if you add in the tapes from this morning you probably have half of a top ten list of best demos ever…

Fit Of Anger And Oxblood

It looks like gernblandsten is selling another collection. This collection has some great EPs (and even better demos, wait for that upcoming post …). Plenty of Rev staples, and loads of decent punk. This particular collection comes from “a member of the NYHC band FIT OF ANGER and OI band OXBLOOD.” I think that would make this Paul, right? Go ahead, check out these items.

The SOIA RSD Pressing? That’s SO Last Year.

So, I was going to make a post about apie666′s Sick Of It All ep’s from last years Record Store Day, and talk about how this years RSD helped them slip under the radar. Except, thing is, it really did no such thing, except maybe on the third of these. Other than that one still being under 10 bucks, these are doing just fine, and all three will be ending in about a day.

You can, however, get in on the ground floor on his auction for this white wax version. 6th press, limited to 300, leave me alone, I’m still dancin’.
