In all my years of collecting Rev vinyl, this LP is one that I’ve never been able to track down. No idea why. It’s not super rare. Sure there are only 100 on blue vinyl, but it was released in 1997. It’s highly unlikely that many have been lost in the sands of time like some of the EPs have. I’ll be watching this one from hardcorex74. Who knows, maybe I’ll have a blue, blue, blue christmas …*

* scratch that. Just saw the current bid. Wowza, crazy. It’s going to slip away again.

If it were Thursday, I would call it Together Thursday

…and that would just sound stupid, so I am glad it’s Wednesday. Got another one here from Good Ole Gern. Revelation Records number two, the Together comp. 7 inches of classic NYHC with Sick Of It All, Supertouch, Side By Side…and some other bands. Boom. Where “it” all started (after that Warzone 7″ of course…) Looks like I will have to refer back to the supposed Holy Grail of Rev collecting, the rev.txt doc. White inserts, look like the cover is one piece, can’t really tell, but the inserts don’t look like “obvious photocopies” so I guess this is a first press? Sounds good to me. Have at it kiddies!!!

Well hello Mr. Blandsten, what do you have for us here? Oh look, it’s those elusive Side By Side stickers that I love to rant about. Like with the Warzone sticker, I can’t wait to see if this sells for an assload of money. Morbid curiosity I suppose.

This Side By Side 7″ is sad

I always feel bad for this Side By Side 7″ when it pops up on the eBay. It never really goes for much, and that just kind of bums me out. This is a great fucking record. I know it’s 2nd press, and there’s 2000 of them, but still. Make this record feel a little better about itself, and bid. Please? I am sure that handsomephantom would also appreciate it. I know it’s no GB on green, or Warzone on clear. But give it the love and respect that it deserves!

The sticker makes all the difference

Yeah know, when I sold my first press Side By Side 7″ I didn’t even get a measly 30 bucks for it. But check out Mr. thedanceofdays over here, already over $50. All because of that stupid sticker. You know it’s just a stupid photocopy on stupid sticker paper right?? It’s not like you’re actually going to stick it on something, like your locker, or your notebook.

It looks like gernblandsten is selling another collection. This collection has some great EPs (and even better demos, wait for that upcoming post …). Plenty of Rev staples, and loads of decent punk. This particular collection comes from “a member of the NYHC band FIT OF ANGER and OI band OXBLOOD.” I think that would make this Paul, right? Go ahead, check out these items.

Jules SBS Charity Auction Round 3

The fine fellows at DCXX have just upped a new batch of Jules’ records for auction. If you will remember, every penny will go to relief efforts in Japan. There are not any MEGA rare records in this batch, but wouldn’t it be nice to have a item in your collection that had such an interesting previous owner?
