do you say Celtic or Keltic?

I present to you a first pressing and a second pressing of the Celtic Frost ‘Morbid Tales’ ep. I prefer the cover art to the ‘Emperors Return’ recod, but Morbid Tales is awesome! Since paulopereira has both the 1st press & 2nd press for sale with a ‘best offer’ option this could be a chance to scoop both for 1 low price. You got that Sheer Terror money!?

I guess that hard times have fallen on xsheerxterrorx because he is selling his Sheer Terror records! That would be like if my eBay user name was ‘Stupid obsessive Slapshot nerd’ and I started selling off my collection of junk!

Not sure if anyones going to the show on Sunday, but Sheer Terror is playing a semi-surprise show at the Bowery Electric in NYC. Its like a mini record release show for the Spit 7″ that came out this week. There are NO advance tickets being sold and the place only holds 200 people so get there EARLY if you plan to go, the show starts at 3:00pm. There is also supposed to be a special record release sleeve of the 7″ limtited to only 40 copies so get to the merch table quick and get me one cause I cant make it to the show. Oh yeah Supertouch & Suburban Scum are playing too.

Anyway… now go bid on these records…
Asshole & Proud 7″ signed by the Rev #273 out of ???

Asshole & Proud picture 7″ # 200 out of 333

Not Waving, Drowning red vinyl 7″ # 939 out of ???

OUT FOR BLOOD FOR BLOOD

Sometimes a band is harder to search for on eBay than you think. I was looking for some Blood for Blood LPs today when I came across something that was note worthy, but not exactly what I was looking for. What did I find you ask?

Well I found this autographed copy of Lita Ford’s ‘Out for Blood’ LP. Since eBay doesnt recognize when you search for the same word twice I just typed ‘For Blood’ and searched under ‘records’ and Lita popped right up!

I think that Lita looked a little better shortly after this LP when she did the duet with Ozzy, but she still looks good in that picture. If you watch ‘That Metal Show’ you know she didnt hold up very well, but this is a good way to remember her and since she signed it in 96 she probably still looked pretty good!

Signed, Sealed & Sex Pistoled!

I know autographed LPs have been discussed here before and that a lot of people dont like them, but I am a fan. Its geeky and not punk, but I still think its kind of cool to have signatures of the person that created something on it be it a record or a book or something else.

That being said, I’m not so sure about the signed ‘Never Mind the Bollocks’ LP that collie-tree is selling. I am far from an expert on autographs or the Sex Pistols for that matter, but something about these signatures just looks off.

The biggest thing I question is would Sid bother to sign his full name ‘Sid Vicious’ or would he just sign ‘SID’? Also all the signatures look to close to the same in some ways.

Well… like I said, I’m no expert and collie-tree had a lot of other records for sale, but I would say buyer beware on this one even if you try to shoot him a low ball offer.

Tagged LP’s.

A trio of autographed NYHC lp’s courtesy of chainxcrew:

I never got the point of the hc autograph myself, but if you’re gonna do it, you can’t really go wrong with having dudes noted for their tagging ability be the ones signing your stuff.

Faster Pussycat Kill Kill!

I can admit that I have a couple of hair metal records in my vinyl collection, probably the worst of which is a green vinyl 12″ of Poison doing their cover of ‘Your Mama Dont Dance’ which is awful! There are a few other records of this genre that I wouldnt mind adding to my collection, like the first Winger album, Guns & Roses ‘Appetite For Destruction’ with the original cover art, Guns & Roses ‘Live like a Suicide’ and this gem from farzin.

I was never super into hairmetal, but I figure if you’re gonna listen to one of those bands it may as well be as over the top as it can be and I think Faster Pussycat does that pretty well! I actually saw them open for Motley Crue on the Doctor Feelgood tour and they were decent and pretty glammed up, but then I saw them again on one of the 80′s metal package tours and they had some crazy goth/nazi ss them going on.

So here is a copy of the first Faster Pussycat record signed by the whole band and the opening bid actually isnt to bad. I’ll admit that I most likely wont, but I am considering bidding on it!

Dare to Dream!

When it comes to OLD hardcore records that are not Slapshot or Slapshot related my top wish list is 1st press Teen Idles, 1st press Minor Threat, 1st press Negative Approach, 1st press Misfits ‘Bullet’, 1st press Black Flag ‘Nervous Breakdown’ & a 1st press Bad Brains ‘Pay to Cum’. Now I REALLY want a Pay to Cum with a picture sleeve, but since I will probably never have any in my daydream I will settle for a plain sleeve one.

This one is a bonus because even though its not a picture sleeve it is signed by Dr. Know, HR & Darryl. Its got a lot of writing on it, but it looks like only those 3 guys put a signature on it. If any of you guys want to show your appreciation for all my posts you can buy this for me, or even just donate to the cause and I’ll buy it myself! : )

Signed Victim In Pain On Ratcage.

I’ve mentioned a bunch of times now that, if you’re gonna go the autograph route with punk/hardcore bands, you should go big or go home. Well, I’d say unionpride69 has gone big, as he’s bringing us one of the original Ratcage Records pressings of Agnostic Front’s Victim In Pain lp, signed by Roger, Stigma, and Kabula.

He promises a pic of the actual front cover, but since the back clearly says Ratcage and has the “Important” label under it, you can rest soundly knowing that is the 2nd press of the infamous Nazi cover (the black cover version a lot of people think is the 2nd press is actually the 1986 repress on Combat Core). The fact that this remains unbid upon with 3 days to go is actually kind of astounding, even without the pic of the front cover; sure it’s got a high BIN, but there’s no reserve and the starting bid is completely reasonable. Hey, screw it, better luck for me…

Earth A(utographe)D.

I hate to keep infringing on Josh’s gimmick, but whilst skimming through Danzig related auctions hoping to find a black on black hooded shirt to post on TTD, I stumbled upon this auction from jgautographs that I couldn’t pass up the chance to post, given how the last autographed Misfits record I posted I a. mis-identified and b. was short one notable member. This auction corrects both mistakes.

As you can see, while we don’t have Bobby Steele or Joey Image’s signature this time, the entire line up who participated in the recording of Earth A.D. is accounted for (Jerry Only, Doyle, Robo, and Glenn). You’ve gotta love Danzig signing the back rather than putting his mark on the front with the rest of the band. So very, very appropriate.

Hey.. Ho… Two More!

Here are a couple of wierd Ramones records… well one Ramones record at least!

First up is a live bootleg Ramones LP called ‘Live at the Roxy 1976′. The seller says he bought the LP and all its contents at a 2nd hand store in Seattle about 10 years ago and hes selling it as he got it so it also comes with a ticket to a Ramones show in Seattle February 3rd 1978 and a flyer for a Ramones show January 5th 1979 also in Seattle. The best part of the whole package is that the back of the flyer is signed by Marky, Joey, Johnny & Dee Dee! Four nice signatures that look legit and would be really nice framed up with an LP sleeve from your favorite Ramones record!

This is the really weird one. Its an LP ‘Frat House Party’ by The Mayfair All-Star Orchestra. Unless I’m missing something the record has nothing to do with The Ramones, but for some reason the front cover is signed ‘To Bud’ by Joey, Johnny, Marky & Dee Dee Ramone. If anyone has any insight into this one let me know!

More Misfits.

Oh plaguebearerofnurgle, it’s a good thing people tend to go batty over Misfits records, because you are one of the many sellers I have come across in my time here at vinylnoize who just don’t grasp how auctions, buy it now’s, and reserves are three separate things, and thus sets up otherwise decent auctions with $100 starting bids…

These will all sell for sure; like I said, fiends tend to go batty for Misfits vinyl no matter how battered the cover or faded the autograph on it. It’s just gonna take longer for them to get some bids going.

Monster Collection of Misfits Crap!

hilminster has some decent Misfits records, but I think making a bundle this big priced this high with no super gems in it is a bad idea. I could be wrong, but I know that I have no desire to own all 83 of these! Also as much as I like signed records, thats A LOT of Jerry Only signatures!

Reagan Youth sells Minor Theat signed by Brian Baker

alpo39 is a member of Reagan Youth and he is selling a 1st Press Minor Threat 7″. He is the original owner it looks like its in amazing condition! Last week Cooch said he doesnt understand why people spend more on a record because its coming from a member of another cool band. Lets see if anything like that happens here!

I’ve said before that I’m a huge fan of signed records, but I dont know if I consider it a bonus or not that this record is signed by Brian Baker on the back of the sleeve. If it was signed by all 4 members or maybe just by Ian I would think it was really cool, but just the Brian Baker signature doesnt really make it a more desirable record to me.

This one is currently at about 1/2 of what the last one (sold by a member of SSD) and it ends in less than 12 hours so I’m curious to see where it ends up.

Superbly Signed Decontrol

Another amazing record straight from the SSD Vaults! This one is not just a sleeve like the ‘Kids will have their say’ he posted up either!

This is a 100% legit copy of XClaim Records #3, SSD ‘Get It Away’ and its been signed by the whole band. I know its not a test press or anything like that, but I think thats pretty damn cool!!

I wonder how many of these guys will be at the ‘Gallery East Reunion’ show next month? I imagine there will be many familiar faces in that crowd!

Signed Sleeve/No LP or Unsigned Sleeve/With LP

A member of SSD is selling an unused sleeve for ‘The Kids Will Have Their Say’ LP. Its left over from the original run they did of 2000 sleeves, but they only pressed 1000 LPs and never did a second press so there were a bunch of sleeves left.

He had a few of these in his basement since the LP was released and when ‘the band got back together’ for the American Hardcore premier he brought them along and had the other 3 guys sign them. He said this is the first thing he remembers the entire band signing. How awesome is that!? I now theres no LP in it, but damn thats cool and would look awesome framed!!

Perhaps you dont care about the autographs and the empty sleeve just does nothing for you, then check out colleenpingree who was not a member of SSD, but is selling a complete ‘Kids Will Have Their Say’ LP.
