Ok, so you don’t like the Big Boys? Neither did these guys. They had that whole homophobia thing going for them. Hey it was the 80′s, the Cro Mags gay bashed people so why cant the Bad Brains. God + cocaine is a hell of a drug.
skull.and.bones is selling the rarely seen clear vinyl verison of I Against I. Decent opening bid, and not bad on the BIN if youre feeling frisky.

I Against I Against I Againt I on clear
Let’s get real, real gone
I’m not much of an autograph hound, but this copy of Nervous Breakdown from vintagevinyl kinda cracks me up with Ginn’s “GETTIN REAL REAL GONE” inscription.
The jury’s out on whether or not these red cover copies are the second press as typically documented, or if they’re actually a 3rd or 4th version of the record. Read more here.
BLACK FLAG – Nervous Breakdown weirdo cover
straightray just keeps coming up with them. This time theres a little bonus involved. Obviously the record is awesome, but the little add on is the prize in this auction. A test print cover with Nervous Breakdown on one side and the Minutemen on the other. You Black Flag collectors out there will probably freak out over this one. I know if it was a Misfits cover like this i would be all over it. Tough to tell what something like this is worth but thats what ebay is for i suppose.
Bl’ast – Manic Ride Test Press
Italian seller hard-to-forget has this Bl’ast test press from SST records. Take The Manic Ride was the last LP released by these guys in ’89. It has a very fair opening bid of $10 so it would be worth keeping an eye on. Some definitely cool Black Flag/Black Sabbath bits here. I always thought it was cool that some of these guys stuck with music through the years. The seller is most commonly known for the shirts that he makes on his own and sells on ebay. In other words, he is an unapologetic bootleg seller. He’s got very good positive feedback here, so if you are in any way interested in this artifact you should feel comfortable buying this from a person claiming to be from the “land of the lost”.
Having come across this, I can’t help but think of Manic Ride Records/Dead Alive records. Nor can I for the life of me recall whatever happened there. It was the best online distro during the mid 2k era. My highlight was grabbing an official Underdog shirt from there.
Black Flag Pink Flag
Hey now, I don’t think I’ve seen this before. I know SST re-presses their stuff on color vinyl once in a while, but I think the more common ‘Damaged’ was white? Anyway, here’s a sweet, sweet looking pink copy of Damaged that looks like a strawberry lollipop. Mmmm. Into it.
shockme321 says this is limited to 150, it’s even written on the shrinkwarp…
As a bonus here’s a sweet video of Hank vs. some weak hipster witches:
Whoopsy Daisy!
A final pair of tests for Test Press Tuesday. Both on SST, both from seller btrslate… and both with the same picture? As Bill The Butcher would say, whoopsy daisy!

Loose Nut On Test Press Tuesday.
Seller tfg352 has a handful of test presses up today, but one stands head and shoulders above all the others: a test press of Black Flag’s “Loose Nut” that was given to a radio station as an advance copy. Loose Nut is probably my favorite of the later Flag records, so I find this especially neat. It even comes with a letter of “authentication”, in that it comes with a letter from SST indicating what tracks they felt would make for good radio play… definitely a worthy record for any Test Press Tuesday, let alone a slow one that we need to make the most of.
Black on Color
a couple of slabs of Black Flag color ending soon for those of you who want to complete that BF color collection. A brave task! From googyhills
Descendents Promo 45′s.
Cool pair from devotown for all the Descendents collectors out there (koffjaybilkoff): a pair of promotional singles for the albums Enjoy and All, respectively. Definitely way cooler than a cassette single.
It’s About Luv. And Test Press Tuesday.
I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if it turns out that Cooch knows who distortnewyork is. It just seems likely that he’d know a seller with an SST test press up for sale, even if it’s for a record as wishy washy as HR’s solo effort “It’s About Luv”.
When it comes to quality, the “transition between Rock For Life/I Against I” sounding A side of this is def about luv for me, but the B side of this is straight up hate. Terrible, sub-Marley imitation jams. Blecch.
Dicks Brigade
Couple of HC classics here from deathtothesickoids…
I’ve harped enough about the Dicks LP on here before, so just go ahead and buy this thing because it’s a classic and it doesn’t turn up much. As for Youth Brigade, this one’s been a want list topper for ages, and doesn’t turn up that much. I guess the band wasn’t happy with the initial release so they axed some of the songs and repackaged it with new cover art. Only 800 of these ever made it out, and this one looks nice… so what are you waiting for?
Nervous Breakdown
Cool copy of Nervous Breakdown here courtesy of recordmecca. I could do without all the big-shot record dealer hoopla, but you really don’t see to many copies of this record turning up with the original folded baggie and sticker. Cool that it has the original price tag too.
Stains LP – BIN stylee
One of the most underrated American hardcore records ever, courtesy of alohacb.
It’s really a shame that this record has been out of print for years, as it’s a choice slab of ripping metallic hardcore. Add this to the list of SST releases that desperately need to be reissued, along with the Overkill 7″, Dicks Kill From The Heart LP and Saccharine Trust’s Paganicons 12″. A fried of mine was in negotiations with the band and Greg Ginn for a reissue, for it fell through for some reason or another. I’m surprised no one has booted it in the meantime.
BIN price on this is ever so slightly high (but still worth every penny, imo), though there’s a best offer option — so maybe this can be had for a nicer price.
The First Four Years
Another nice Flag test from our man cliff_burton_rip…
Funny thing about this record is that when I saw the hand writing on the cover, I remembered that it actually belonged to me at one point. I traded it to Dave (the seller) ages ago for god only knows what. I originally got this LP in sort of a bizarre fashion — it was listed on ebay for a $24.99 buy-it-now from the UK, and for some reason the seller decided to mail it before I actually paid for it. It showed up at my house out of the blue, and I messaged the guy to sort it out, and he never wrote me back, so it ended up being free. Also, the guy mailed it only in a bubble envelope with no cardboard, and miraculously it didn’t have a mark on it by the time it showed up.
Black Flag test press seller
Lots of hot Black Flag platters being sold this week courtesy of my pal Dave, aka cliff_burton_rip…
It’s funny because when these records were originally being sold by a big name TX punk dealer, Dave changed his name to “blackflagtestpresswinner” and went nuts winning all of them. I told him he needs to change his name to blackflagtestpressseller, but haven’t seen any action on that one yet.
Pick your poison here between 1. approved test, 2. rejected test, and 3. standard stock copy (for the non-ballers out there)…
