Leonard Nimoy and Bilbo Baggins

I love Star Trek (nerdario!) and I wanted to post this Leonard Nimoy LP that I had since forever. I don’t know how rare it is, but eBay prices for it have been pretty nuts, this one starting at $20 seems to be “cheap” in comparison. I got mine for about $5 at a store 11 years ago and I don’t know if it’s really worth much more than that to be honest but it’s a great LP either way.

Leonard Nimoy sings and reads poetry, including a number called “The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins”, and there are some real posi motivational spoken word, philosophical pieces thrown in there as well (“Spock Thoughts”, “Consilium”). For a while this was the only “non-punk” LP in my collection….

I’ll say this, malaika279 has a bunch of interesting auctions up all the time. Might mark him a favorite even. This one is for Sausage. Dude loves him some Star Trek. And we all know he loves records, so this just makes sense right? Star Trek records! Now, I know this ain’t Deep Space Nine, which is his favorite, but I think it will suffice. Christmas is right around the corner, and maybe he is on your list?
