Demo cds are stupid

Tre (deathwishinc) has been trying to get me to post these for 2 days. Im not sure if people collect demo cds? Personally i think theyre stupid and half assed most of the time. Get your shit together and make a tape. All serious bands make tapes. You dont see a Gorilla Biscuits or Agnostic Front demo cd ever do you? Apparently Tre is super into them though because hes signed several of the bands listed.

Ive never seen a copy of the Shipwreck demo before. Woof! This is probably one of the worst covers ive ever seen. Even if i saw this cover on a cd from Queens or Long Island it would be considered bad.

See even Long Island can do better than that. This Is Hell demo cd with two AOL email addresses. I bet Travis still uses AOL too.

Heres a hand numbered VERSE demo. I never really got into Verse myself but I know Euros all the world over had their mind blown by this band. Im willing to bet thats where this copy will end up.

Colin Of Arabia is one of the nicest dudes. If you’ve ever met him before you would know that. Hes one of those people who lives and dies hardcore. I like that. I also like the cover of this demo more than the other 4 i posted, even though its a Jerrys Kids ripoff.

I wish I could post all the demos we got on Blacklisted tours that ended up getting signed to Roadside Records.

Earth Crisis, Death Threat, The Carrier this weekend in Boston!

So Earth Crisis got added to the Death Threat / Carrier show this Saturday in Boston. This should really make for a crazy show now. Why not stock up on some vinyl for these guys before you go. Get your bids in, get your tickets, get it on!

Now, this 12″ being sold by recordgraveyard might not be the original first two 7″s by Earth Crisis, but it’s really all you need. Don’t listen to people when they talk about Destroy The Machines, ALL the EXC LPs are wack, but these first two 7″s are fuckin great. No weak ass Pantera riffs here.

Here’s a sweet CTHC 7″ comp from sassybrat.78 with an old Death Threat track on it. Also has 100 Demons. Can’t really go wrong there.

And outbreakhc has my person favorite of the bunch. My dudes in The Carrier. Awesome record, and the rare color too. Red and cream out of about 300. Maybe the Roxy’s Truck will be there, and you get your grilled cheese on.
