Mental rec release

Mental record release on clear out of 100. All th covers were hand spraypainted the night before and day of the gig in the back room of Lockin Out HQ right down the street from the show. I remember that whole apartment reeking the rest of the day. What a fucking gig. 1/23/03! Much respect to the DIY made covers that are not some cheezy rip off thrown together in photoshop. I dont think this comes up that often so you should probably snag it before I decide I need doubles

Division 1 Champs tour press BIN

I think rekone05john is aiming at the higher end of the spectrum with his BIN on this FP single. Still kinda worth it though as floorpunch continues to get better with age and your chances of copping one on gold are slim to none.

Edge Day is just around the corner

My buddy Judd is liquidating some records and tapes for a friend of ours, and here’s an appropriate listing since Edge Day ’10 is only a few weeks away…

This is one of my favorite packaging jobs on a record that we (Painkiller) have released. We had some leftover covers and decided to press up 100 or so each of Waste Management and Step Forward’s respective debut 7″s, and sell them in a 2-pack at Edge Day ’08. In typical fashion, the records showed up the day before the show and I was making/assembling these things the night before, the morning of, and during the show itself (with some help from Morgado, thx bud). There are 109 sets, with a complete copy of each record, both with stamped a-side labels and PKR logo b-side labels. The records come housed in a gatefold jacket, kinda like a file folder, with a collage of old Boston HC flyers with the XXX screened over it, and closed up with a #’d obi strip. They came out pretty sweet if I do say so myself, check out the 2nd pic (from our site) for the total package.

GB 12″” and poster

Straight from Spain comes some press of th Start Today LP. The seller doesnt really clarify what pressing of the 12″ it is but the reason I am posting this is the cool poster it comes with. I guess its more of a giant flyer but still it looks pro printed and not photocopied. Its pretty sizeable too at 16″x25″. The seller says the gig was in 1992 so i bet you there was striped shirts and stussy gear involved. Unless there was some kind of fashion delay and they stuff didnt hit Euro until later? I wonder if they played any moondog songs. Also as a double bonus you get a random ROTP sticker.

WNITA

Remember when this used to be a rare record? I remember pre-ebay days when it was amazing if you knew someone with this record. I remember being doubly stoked when I pickd up that great bootleg CD that was going around in the mid 90s with this record, CCMEs, and the live stuff. Now it seems like you can pic this record up anywhere. This copy is pretty beat but it would look nice in a frame. I think the beat sleeve gives it nice character. Colin is a solid dude so chek out his other auctions.

Mental Yo! Test press

Mental Yo! 7″ test press. My favorite of the 3 mental eps. The track “III” is actually my favorite Mental cut. Good jam. Hope this stays Stateside. Do your part for America

Mental GAOT record release

Sold at the record release show at an Elks lodge if I remember correctly. Not my favorite place for gigs but always good company. This is the rarest version of this 7″. Shirts in the same colorway were also released at the show. The brazil colorway being more rare.
The only time in my life I ever made a fanzine(How Much Art Can You Take Fanzine), I sold them at that show and gave the rest of them to Mental to sell on tour afterwards.

X-Claim!

Two of Bostons finest releases. I might get a lot of hate for this but I like the FU’s record more than the Jerry’s Kids lp. Maybe its cause “Kill for Christ” was the first X-claim! release I ever owned? Maybe my love of snotty vocals? Maybe cause I have stared at that cover for hours(so good!)? In any case you probably need these.
Side note – being the cultural ambassador that I am, I recently had to explain that F.U.’s was not pronunced “foos” to some local Japanese punks. Lost in translation

Floorpunch on Gold

This blog just started and we are already bringing you the goods. Here it is – the Chung King of the 90s. Everyone who likes moshing probably wants this record. I got mine around the time it came out. The price on this thing is not going down. Youve missed the bottom floor but here is your chance to cop before it goes up even more! Shoot outs to Chase. Certified dude!

Here is a list of all known owners of Floorpunch gold eps.

I guess this copy used to be Sweet Pete’s then to Chase.
If you own a copy leave a comment or emails us so we could get this list updated!! We know a few have changed hands on ebay and there are a ton of blanks. Lets fill it up for 2010~
