Oh, Did We Mention It’s Test Press Thursday?

Good ol’ Tre sent me a reminder email this afternoon that today was Test Press Thursday, and I hadn’t posted a thing! Thankfully, I was able to find a test press to post up… from Tre. HEY WAIT A MINUTE!

I posted on a message board that one of the members of You And I posts on to try and get info on this record. He wasn’t familiar with the test press, and asked the guy that put it out, this is what he had to say:

“i just talked to the guy who put out the youandi 7″. i sent him the picture and he confirmed that it’s a limited cover that he put together for some test presses. he doesn’t remember the exact number. the first press of the 7″ was fun because we all got blank covers and got to do whatever we wanted with them.”

I checked around the nerd, some boards, popsike.com, collectorsfrenzy.com and can’t see any of these being sold before. Must be really really really rare!!!

Tre And Vinyl Noize, Together Again.

Great as it is to have Tre now in the fold here at Vinyl Noize, I must admit: I was a little concerned that he’d want to handle his own auctions from here on out. Some people would consider that a faux pas. But Tre is a loyal guy, and he’s content to let me continue with my Tre making fun of ways. So for just this once, I’m not gonna make any “Tre is rich” or “Tre is a bad friend” jokes. This Together comp goes out to the spirit of unity…

Pulling Tests.

Now that Tre posts on the site himself, you’d think he’d do the obvious thing and plug his own auctions. But good ol’ Test Press Tre isn’t that type of guy. Nope, he still leaves it to me to proudly tell your of the plethora of tests he has up from a band you may have heard of called Pulling Teeth…

Where does he get all this stuff? Honestly.

Tre’s Sick Of It All.

Not even a month in to his run here on Vinyl Noize, and Tre is already whining and complaining to me about how sick and tired he is of all the hard work he has to put in to draft up a post, insert the picture, codify the link to eBay, come up with something witty to say, and so on. Not even a month in! What a baby, to get sick of it all so soon… and speaking of Tre and being sick of it all, how sick am I of posting Tre’s auctions for Sick Of It All ep’s? HOW MANY OF THESE DO YOU HAVE YOU SONOFABITCH?!

Tre in Chile?!?

Did Tre lie to us all and use all his funds to up and move to chile? If not then remission is just lifting Tre’s pictures from a couple weeks ago. Seller has good feedback so maybe hes just lazy? Id like to think that Tre has moved to beachside Chile.

Test Press Tre Is A Whiner.

Our good buddy Tre had little Twitter hissy fit (Twitty fit? Twissy fit?) at us for ignoring this Pulling Teeth test press on Test Press Tuesday. Clearly, he doesn’t look at the site very often, or else he’d realize that we ALSO have made a habit out of posting test presses on Thursdays as well (plus I was a little annoyed that he didn’t tip me off to the fact that he had a Chain Crew I could have posted up). So here it is: Tre’s Pulling Teeth test press… wait, this was a REJECTED test press? And here Tre was complaining that this was rejected for Test Press Tuesday… I call that poetic justice.

Tre Is Mental, Yo.

Tre’s record glut continues. He doesn’t sleep, he just keeps selling records. This current round appears to be items that were unsold or not purchased (and some heavy hitters). In this go, we’ll just focus on these Mental jams. Love the YO EP. Solid from start to finish.

While the ChainXCrew is the rarest and most sought after Chain of Strength my good buddy Tre has to offer (tho apparently he’s not so a good a buddy that I don’t get a heads up on a ChainXCrew auction, AHEM), it’s not the only Chain record up for auction right now. In fact, if you’ve got pockets deep enough to still have a fortune left after going for the ChainXCrew, there’s the foundation (get it?) of a full blown COS collection here…

Get ready for heads to explode. Our good buddy Tre is dropping a big gun. This would be the Chain Of Strength Chain Crew EP. It feels like we haven’t seen one of these on ebay in a long time. It may have been years … This one is pretty dope. It’s one of the few numbered 23. You know how it goes. Tim loves Michael Jordan. Limited to 100, a few were numbered 23. This one is going to require kicking back with popcorn.

Tre Is For The Youth.

Our favorite friend and seller (and Brian’s apparent choice for a favorite creepy uncle) Tre is back, and the end of his collection is approaching. As evidenced by the barrage of youths in this round of auctions… say, maybe Brian has something with that creepy uncle thing.

(What, no Batman stamp copies? You’re hoarding, I know it.)

Say what you want about YDL, but you can’t deny his description of how he got this copy isn’t LOL worthy:

So Brian apparently wants us to make the nick name Uncle Tre happen for our old buddy Tre. Personally, I prefer calling him old buddy Tre. Or Moneybags. But hey, what’s in a name, right? What matters is that he’s always bringing the auction goods. We’ve been going through his collection for awhile now, and it looks like we may be nearing the end in the coming months; as you may have noticed when Brian posted his Warzone auctions, we’re now in the W’s. And if you’ve noticed that this is kind of a rambling intro, that’s because I’m writing this at 2AM and while my body is exhausted, my brain won’t stop, and so I’m still….

Looks like our buddy Tre is onto the U portion of his collection. Makes me wonder. Can we start calling Tre, Uncle Tre? Sort of like Uncle Al. I think it’s a good idea. Uncle Tre from Deathwish Inc. While you mull that over, check out his listings for U bands (Unbroken, Uniform Choice, …).
