Wow. The 90s were a weird time. You’d have baggy pants, striped gap shirts with v-neck sweaters plus a bag full of junk. And most of that junk seemed to end up on a vegan bake sale table. Right next to Strife and Mean Season merch. Did it make any sense? Hell no. And the other thing? It was the mid 90s. Vegan food still tasted like hippy butt for the most part. It isn’t as glorious as it is today. I look forward to the next 20 years of vegan eats. If you prefer crunchy, hippy hot garbage of vegan eats, you may also prefer these EPs from prepareforbattle.

A FIRESTORM FOR CHARITY
I think the title works. You gotta sing it to the tune of Firestorm. Yeah? There you go. Another one here from pinkgirl3, and once again this is a charity auction with a portion of the proceeds is being donated to the food pantry at Reaching Out Community Services “a food pantry on New Utrecht Avenue but its set up like a supermarket so people can “shop” with dignity.”
So this is the Earth Crisis Firestorm 7″ on Victory, this is a repress, with a special cover that was hand numbered 38 out of 328. Pretty rare if you ask me. The vegan straight edge is still a force out there, so scoop this up ASAP!

Destroy The Machines
Such pretty green vinyl. Man, this, in my mind is the best Earth Crisis album. It and the EP’s that preceded is all you need. Well, some songs on ‘Gamorrah’s…” are OK, but the rest are snoozers. I saw Earth Crisis once in 1998 with ‘the Misfits’ (that boring hard rock band with the Michael Graves guy singing), and then I saw them again in 2010. The show was ill-attended and all their new stuff is dross to me, but I had a blast singing along to ‘Firestorm’. On the way back I was still psyched, began speeding and got a fat ticket. That turned out to be a shitty, expensive show overall. Check out handsomephantom‘s location, btw. Nice.
Team Green Knows Vinyl
I love happy coincidences. I was talking to a fellow vegan on twitter when he mentioned he had to ship off a bunch of ebay items. Naturally, my ears perked up. And wouldn’t you know it, tedtrendy was selling stuff that spoke to me. Not only was he selling some hardcore vinyl with decent BINs, he was also selling comic books and cycling gear. If it wasn’t for the brand new jerseys, you’d think he had raided my house.
Go ahead and scoop up these cycling jerseys. $40 is a hell of a deal for a quality jersey. Shipping included. Make sure to follow Team Green on twitter too.
A Mystery For Vegan Straight Edge Warriors
Ok you vegan straight edge warriors, riddle me this: what is Catalyst Records #02? If I’m not mistaken, that is what mattsvinyl currently has up for grabs. He doesn’t know what it, I don’t know what its. Hell, Wikipedia doesn’t even know what it is … Oh wait, with a little more digging, I found it. Looks like it is an Advance / Jackhammer demo EP. That wasn’t so difficult. Apparently Jackhammer was Kurt Catalysts band before Birthright … Now you know! Go forth and update wiki with this info. Oh and Chip, this ones for you.
HARDLINE!
Some cool records with lots of BIN and ‘Make an Offers’ from in_vinyl_we_trust in Washington, DC. Great name for a record store in DC!
Earth Crisis may be way more popular, but I think this is the most cruciual Vegan Hardcore record of all time. 1990 Hardline Records and this copy is MINT, UNPLAYED and includes all 3 inserts! The BIN is kind of high, but theres a ‘make an offer’ option so give it a shot!
I believe this was only on black vinyl and limited to 1000, but I know there was a test press on a light aqua vinyl also.
All Out War / Firestorm
Am I wrong, or was Earth Crisis looking for any sort of release they could find to get them out of their Victory Records contract? Why re-release the two best EPs they had on ONE LP? I just don’t get it. I know the vinyl for the EPs are in print anymore, but you can still buy CD EPs for both. Weird.
You can still catch me blasting the All Out War EP. Sooooo good.
But if you want that “one last” Earth Crisis item, this test press is probably for you. Plus, throw in that fully autographed official press photo, and you have an auction made in heaven. Pssst. No bulldogs here. Weird.
Go Vegan!
ALERT!
If you haven’t heard Alert yet, you must be living in a yurt in the middle of Big Sur.
I can’t think of any other reason you would have missed out on this crew.
Seriously.
This band is all about fun. They bring it back like the late 80s. No one takes themselves to seriously, but pride in their actions is apparent. Lots of Straight Edge pride up on this one.
This lot is for the demo pressed on wax. I’m 90% positive it only came on clear and black, and both colors had an equal amount pressed. What’s odd is that the record label is some joint from Florida that I just can’t recall. I honestly would have expected a Western Mass label, but no.
Also, the cover is drawn up by Jay Jacoby. You’ve seen his work before, trust me. Great dude with a good eye (and a steady hand) for what bands want and deserve.
I suggest snapping this up. In about 6 months, you’ll be kicking yourself if you don’t. Trust me on that one.
