CT seller baosgarden brings us this treat that he received direct from “Tony during the early Victory days”. I’m a huge fan of the artwork/design/layout of this record. Acquiring a Test of Integrity on their first ep would be pretty cool, too.
A few years ago a buddy of mine BenG sent me a youtube clip of Integ playing Buffalo, and Scott Vogel was obv moshing, and there was more than a few skinheads with questionable political alliances in attendance as well. If I can get this again, I’ll post it up.
** This isn’t the video I was looking for but, its awesome footage nonetheless. This clip should also be posted on TTD because there are a ton of GREAT shirts. For instance, I just saw a dude wearing a REACH OUT shirt. So sick.
baosgarden brings one of the most saught after Integrity records there are, the ‘In Contrast Of Sin’ 7″ on Victory Records on red vinyl. Depending on who you believe, there are either only 100 or 200 of these out there. I personally would lean more toward 100 seeing as it does not pop up that often, and a lot of big collectors I have known over the years either didn’t have one or couldn’t get one. It’s a tough find and can go for a tidy sum. This one is sitting at $51 with slightly less than 24 hours to go, although the reserve has not been met. Who knows what the reserve might be or how much this could fetch, but you can bet someone has their eye on this bigtime.
Now this one is a banger. I seriously love everything about Buried Alive. To me, this was the best Vogel project. I might get a lot of shit for that based on the stuff Terror has released, but this is it. Buried Alive is king. And this EP from earwax666hotmail is SOLID. Purple vinyl was limited to 830, but the opening bid makes it worth grabbing. Anyone have a clear vinyl version? I can’t recall ever seeing one.
Hailing from Japan, seller xjayskillsx has got a great piece of wax up for grabs with NO BIDS on it yet. It wasn’t long before I posted another Cleveland classic, the last being In Cold Blood’s Hell On Earth LP. This is the last “classic” Integrity release I got deep into. Systems Overload was released in 1995, three years after the classic Those Who Fear Tomorrow was released. Systems Overload is most definitely the most “punk” release by them and definitely should fall into the top 3 of anyone’s favorite Integrity release.
xjayskillsx puts in his item description GISM and Madball right next to each other, and while that doesn’t make sense stand alone, in a description for this Integrity release it makes quite a bit of sense to me. Take a look the first few two tracks on this album, Incarnate 365/No One. The intro to the album is a heavy hitter; for a minute and half you are moshing around your room and when 1:30 hits there is a Melnick “face-meling” solo over Dwid’s strained demon-esque vocals, not too far off from a few GISM songs off of Detestation. No One hits after this intro with a no frills straight up hardcore song about talking shit not unlike “Get Out” by Madball. I could break down all the songs on this record, but you should do yourself a favor and throw this on. And if you don’t have the time for the first two songs put on “Jimson Isolation” and hear Dwid say “I farted” at 2:28.
A year after the last Melnick bros. last proper release through Integrity, a full length release by In Cold Blood surfaced through on Victory Records in 1998. Not too far of a stretch from the Melnick bros. Integrity material they met up with a few others including, Blaze from OLC and frontman Jason Popson to release a great LP’s worth of material. Jason Popson is better known as the singer of Mushroomhead but this material, needless to say is quite a bit different than his nu-metal outfit. There was definitely something in the water in Cleveland, because alongside Ringworm, Integrity and OLC, there were some pretty great heavy material coming out of their neck of the woods, and that’s not too mention any of the punkier stuff. earwax666hotmail has got the In Cold Blood – Hell On Earth LP on White Vinyl up for auction. If I just hadn’t picked up some more expensive records recently, this would be on my watch list and I would be trying to win it.
Seller sounditoutrecordstc continues to provide a decent amount of records that aren’t really going to make you break the bank, but are totally worth owning. In the past year I’ve grabbed a good amount of filler. In my collection I have a short list of heaters and an extensive list of Joe Blow EP’s that are important to me in terms of painting a picture of USHC. I am thrilled to find a cool looking slab that has some history and significance to it that I can grab for a low amount…for cheap thrills if you will. Perhaps you’re refined, and only settle for the mintiest of bonzer platters. I am pretty sick of downloading music and listening to it for the first time online. If I can come across something for a reasonable amount online or at my local record store I’m much more fulfilled.
These items below may help you in rounding out your collection.
1) Victory Records 01 – Inner Strength – The cover is cool. Guitar player is wearing a BroHood shirt, and has a 7 seconds sticker on the head of his guitar. The banner that belongs to the band is hanging at the back. Musically the band is sounding somewhere between late era Turning Point mixed in with Vision, and features some clean youthful vocals.
2) Victory Records 07 – Worlds Collide
First off, ever see this music video? This one is on limited green vinyl as you can see. This band featured Ken Olden (Far Cry, Battery, Damnation AD, BT1K, etc…) on guitar. They had a super bouncey, metallic hardcore sound that reminds me of early Pantera. If I’m not mistaken they were of the vegan/vegetarian school of thought with perhaps some krishna con as well. They had a more prolific career than Inner Strength and left their mark with numerous vinyl releases.
A lot of people make a HUGE deal about Insight’s Silent Shore comp song off of the Only The Strong Comp. And while I think that song is awesome and pretty wild for that time, this E.P. should receive the same kind of praise. The comp song is a definite bridge between the early Insight material and Iceburn releases. But, If you want to appreciate a solid early Victory release and a much more complete thought, then throw this E.P. on the turntable.
Insight was an edge band from Salt Lake City that had the balls of NYC hardcore and a twinge of metal crossover with their recording style and guitar solos. anxietyalways83 has got the 1st press of the What Will It Take E.P. up for grabs. While this isn’t as much of a gem as the orange vinyl on Soul Force Records, it’s still pretty cool. Insight’s release on Soul Force Records is the same material but just under the title “Standing Strong”. I’m pretty sure that these copies were sent for mailorder, and according to howsyouredge the purple copies are out of 392. Check out the auction, there’s still 2 days left. I just listened to a live set by Insight at City Gardens and they covered NA – Tied Down, very cool.
Im not exactly sure what “wrong” B4B songs are on this test press from repjack111 but i would be interested to find out. Maybe Victory sent a copy of Revenge on Society to the pressing plant by mistake instead of Spit My Last Breath. Who knows. According to HYE though there are only 2 of these in existence. I beg to differ but i wont bust anyones bubble.
Like any good soldier in the early-mid 90s, I was into most of the stuff that Victory Records put out. And as a vinyl nerd I enjoyed that they made limited color vinyl of all of their releases (well, not quite all as it turns out). But then we all know what happened – the label started putting out total rot and then eventually stopped making vinyl. No big loss. But now here we are like 10-14 years later and all of a sudden it seems that there IS money in making vinyl, so Victory are back, pressing up color vinyl like there is no tomorrow. And rather than just press up their latest stuff, it would seem that they are now repressing some of their back catalog. Here’s a couple of recent 1994/5 releases that have been given the multiple color vinyl treatment that you can buy from ebay to avoid having to deal direct with the label:
First up, wearearecordstore gives you the Warzone ‘Old School to New School’ LP. This one might actually be worth owning as this was never previously issued on color wax.
You can also now pick up a color vinyl copy of the first Strife LP courtesy of recordstandards.
Is there really demand for hundreds more color vinyl copies of these records in 2011? I am sceptical.
This is not a rare record, but boy is it a good one. I love this 7″ and along with the LP this is my favorite BTGOG stuff. This is totally 1990′s, but not metal, totally original but with clear nods to revolution summer, meaningful lyrics, good layout, rich insert, this record has it all. This is the orange version out of 1029. There is another version on teal-aqua thats /1000 so this is the 2nd rarest version.

Deadguy is a band for me. I worked at a job for 4 years with virtually no raise and I really started to dislike it, and towards the end I would listen to “Pins and Needles” when driving in all the time (it was graveyard shift too!). Later I worked a different position at the same place and also had a huge crush on my cute boss for a while, you could say I was “Fixated on a co-worker”, I ended up quitting. It is important to like your job boys, that is why I now manually masturbate caged animals for artificial insemination.*
This is a version that I think I’ve seen before but I don’t know, limited cover / 300. Is this from that “Victory Limited Edition” series? Maybe not. I think it’s pretty cool, sucks wbmike14‘s picture is bad.

User handsomephantom has been killing it with 90′s color vinyl! Here he has my favorite Integrity record, on clear. I believe this is the only ltd. color this came on but I am not sure. Either way this is the best record they did IMO, yeah I like it better than “Humanity Is The Devil”. The music is just as good, it’s longer and it actually has some good lyrics and not just holy terror hoodoo-voodo, mumbo jumbo. Yeah, no one listens to Integrity for the lyrics. (If you do, well, keep taking those meds, what can I tell ya).

Seller chainxcrew brings us a prime example of why some things are just best left alone. For your consideration he offers both a 2nd press of WarZone’s classic Lower East Side Crew ep, as well as the Victory Records re-recording of said songs on 10″. Which isn’t as terrible a re-recording as people say, but packs nowhere near the raw energy and punch of the original recordings, as well as overdoing it with the samples.
