Posting this one because it made me laugh. A BritHney Spears record. I hear she’s big in France. Almost as big as Britney is in the States. And thanks to discover.phidji you can own one of her tests!

When it comes to hardcore ideologies, I subscribe to the Kev Finn edition of the holy bible. This is my north star. So when this NFAA EP popped up, I scratched my head. Never heard of it. I turned to my ultimate text. Not listed. How have I never heard of this? Does it count for rev completists? Obviously, the seller, robase is a legit dude, but what gives with this ep? It’s a little goofy (more goofy than the Sammy GB EPs).

Saves The … WTF?

When Saves The Day hit the scene in the late 90s, they were a hardcore band. That’s right. You heard me. A hardcore band. They released an album on EVR, a hardcore label. They had roots in NJHC. And as such, when they released their original demo, it was on a shitty cassette tape. It was likely recorded on a shitty boombox in a shitty apartment. Or at least, an apartment with at least two too many people in it. Which leads me to this auction from surgeoheatal. WTF? There is no chance this is a legit release. Even the cover looks like a terrible photocopy. Yuck.

When I clicked on the auction it just got more and more interesting. First thing I noticed was the awesome eBay user ID venomlegion. Then I noticed that the seller was from Lincoln, Rhode Island which is just a few miles from me. After reading the details on the Possessed LP I clicked the other auctions and it just got more & more interesting. WTF? Youth Of Strength

Is there a joke here I’m not getting? This Youth Of Strength ep was released in 2005, but was supposedly originally recorded in 1985 … Everything about this record screams, Good Clean Fun or Grudge. I mean the obvious name derived from Youth Of Today / Chain Of Strength was a first clue, and the “x name x” was a second clue. Or he fact that it’s a band from the UK singing about Boston Edge … Or even the fact that the cover features Boris Yeltsin/ a fat baby x’ed up … Someone clue me in on this one from batfuk. Let’s hear it.

I dont even know what to say about this record being sold by eil_esprit. I got sucked into the Green Jello vortex when they first came out and I had the video tape and the 1st album. A friend and I went to see them at Club Baby Head with Propain & Testament, but they canceled at the last minute so we just sat Propain, Testament and a local band or two.

I know that Green Jello continued even after they changed their name to Green Jelly and I think they eventually changed it back to Green Jello, but I cant imagine how they hooked up with Hulk Hogan. Buy this, frame it and hang it in your living room. That will make sure that you are never without a conversation starter when company comes over!

WTF? Cursed LOLs

Either peasant77 is high, or I haven’t been paying close enough attention to Cursed vinyl lately. Seriously, what’s going on here? He’s got three Cursed LPs. One, Two And Three. For those opening bids, you would think he was offering the Urban Waste ep, Jan’s Room and a Horror Business EP. But he is not. He’s selling Cursed vinyl. No slight on Cursed, but these openers have me rolling. And it’s not like the seller is new to the block. He’s got over 700 positive feedback ratings. I just don’t get it … Someone, please explain.

If I hadn’t seen one of these in person, I’d probably have no idea what furyofzane is trying to sell. The picture is not super helpful and the description even less so. Actually, the description isn’t TOO bad, it just lacks any real context. Just dribbles out the info.

This guy has to be masochistic.

Seriously.

If he really wanted to sell this vinyl, he wouldn’t put up such a ridiculous BIN price. And he wouldn’t have a crazy reserve.

This album has come up 3 times in 3 months. Each time for the same opening bid, same BIN price.

It hasn’t cracked $35 yet so I’m not sure how he hopes to even hit the reserve.

From this, I can gather, he is a masochist.

Every now and then, I stumble across a truly delusional seller.

Take this guy (gal?) for example. I think the username works out to be “Danzig’s Girl.” Obviously, this person thinks they are selling rare Misfits EPs instead of semi not rare hardcore schwag.

Let’s have a look, from most modest (with nothing really modest about any of the BIN prices, really) to most outrageous.

Ambitions. $29.99. $30? I mean, I think this album is great, but asking for $30 is a super ridiculous.

Iron Age, Youngblood 10th Anniversary press. $69.99. Didn’t this just come out over the summer? $70? lol.

In My Eyes, Rev Can Suck It. $149.99. I believe the last one I saw sold for $52. Asking 3 times that is fine, right?

American Nightmare Background Music on Clear. $199.99. Seriously? The last one definitely sold for $63.

American Nightmare Background Music on maroon. $299.99. Yes, that reads THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS. Ugh, people are dumb.

No Warning madness

Are you fucking kidding me? $200 plus with 4 days left? I love No Warning but that fucking price? Do people have thier priorities straight? First off – the 7″ is better. Second off – you can buy a “Pay to Cum” 2nd press for like a little over half that. You could buy a Minor Threat 7″ for that much. I hope for the bidders sakes that they already have all types of shit like that. If not they are just playing themselves
