GET OFF MY BACK – Philly Hardcore Compilation

As a resident of Philadelphia for the better part of 4 years I feel the need to post this compilation. Seller petaltothemedal has got the 1983 “Get Off My Back” Philly Hardcore Comp up for grabs. This is the original Dutch vinyl pressing and while the auction is starting a little higher price wise I still might bid on it. This compilation features 20 tracks from 10 different Philly acts that span a wide variety of different punk and hardcore realms. The YDI tracks Enemy for Life and I Killed My Family that start off the record are brutal.

Watch the video for Enemy for Life that was featured on the American Hardcore Documentary.

Here’s the complete tracklisting of the compilation: Some real hits with the FOD, Autistic Behavior, Seeds of Terror and McRad tracks.

YDI – A Place In The Sun 7″

The best of the few early HC records coming out of Philly (if you have a Kremlin Korps ep please get at me), this record is brimming with pure psychotic rage. This record ranks up there with the Negative Approach 7″ and first Poison Idea 7″ as America’s top purveyors of unbridled HATE, from the gruesome cover/title combo to Jackal screaming I KILLED MY FAMILY, which I’m pretty sure he meant.

Along with some early Touch & Go 7″s, many copies of this record have hand written graffiti inside the sleeves (courtesy of the same culprits, I’ve been told) and this one is no exception. Seems like a pretty good buy if you can get it a little cheaper than the BIN price, since the seller is open to offers.
