Here’s a cool one out of a random batch of stuff from seller mikewindmill, who some of you 90s holdouts may know better as the proprietor of Moo Cow Records.

A friend of mine just released this 7″, and it’s an interesting little historical tidbit from the Nutmeg State. Before Youth Of Today, there was Violent Children and the Young Republicans. Violent Children have been pretty well documented over the years with a legit 7″ and several bootlegs and reissues, but the Young Republicans only made a demo which was lost to the sands of hardcore time for the better part of the last 28 years. A copy finally turned up a year or so ago, and my friend Chris got a hold of it and pressed up this nifty little 7″. A few of the songs ended up becoming YOT and Project X songs, so it’s interesting to see this stuff in its infancy (who would have thought that “Straight Edge Revenge” was originally titled “High School Rednecks”?). Oh yeah, the record… there were 150 made on red vinyl with a screened tablecloth cover (tying in nicely with the Sabotage Your Cookout theme) that sold out in a flash, so don’t miss this one.
