Hoax Second 7 Inch

Hoax did a small tour with SQRM that hit the east coast and parts of Canada a few weeks ago. I managed to get to the Philly show and grabbed a copy of this record. The layout for this record is pretty wild and definitely worth the inflated price. If you haven’t heard Hoax I’d give them a chance, they don’t fall into that Youth Attack black hole of hardcore. Seller planetnews518 is conveniently getting rid of his copy before everyone else has a chance of getting one. Hoax is from Western Mass and has been making quite an impression across the scene. Check out the youtube video from the show I was at.  Two hours left for this auction.

I just read on Tumblr that Aerosols broke up

I have absolutely no idea if this is true or not, and 1:15am is no time for fact checking. They might have been broken up for a while now. God damned reblogs. Another spastic angry dirty hardcore band from Mark McCoy’s hit-maker Youth Attack Records. You can never really tell with these bands. Hell, their “bio” refers to them as the super group that doesn’t exist. But now I’m quoting Last.fm, so I guess I do have time for fact checking.

Well, luckyrecs2011 has a copy of the 1st LP + 7″ on clear out of 500. While posisteve has a copy of the 1st 7″, also on clear, out of only 200.

Test Press Thursday featuring virgin center holes

Seller iovannoni has a few titles up from Youth Attack, one of which being this test press of Cult Ritual’s 2nd 7″. As the listing states, it’s hand stamped #21 out of 25, unplayed and has “virgin center holes.” Meaning the labels have no center hole, so you gotta pop the cherry to listen! iovannoni has a few titles up from Youth Attack always brings the crazy limited vinyl of the noisiest, most out of control hardcore out there. This is no exception!

Best Record Name Ever…

I’m not even sure how I stumbled upon this auction, but its for a record with possibly the best name ever. Seriously how can you not laugh at a compilation record called MEIN COMP!?

I remember when Howard Stern wanted to call his first book Mein Kampf. With all the issues that Howard had fighting with program directors and the FCC and his sometimes twisted sense of humor its the perfect name for his book unfortunately the publisher said no and Howard didnt think that ‘My Struggle’ had the same ring to it. It was more recently suggested that the autobiography of Gary ‘Baba Booey’ Dell’Abate be called ‘Mein Caps’ since he has giant oversized teeth.

Ok.. so once again this record has an awesome name, but it also has some great bands on it. Tracks from Limp Wrist, Punch in the Face, John Browns Army, Regan SS and more! Youth Attack Records, blue vinyl… someone buy it!
